Awesome staple shoe. This ... stylish, versatile and stable ( I have a toddler and a foot injury that limits my "higher" shoe options). And...the shaft is narrow enough to wear with tights and/or skinny jeans- unlike many boots I have tried. Yes, there are better made ... but they will obviously cost you much more. I anticipate wearing these a lot and at this price, I've ordered a second pair. I ordered a 1/2 size up and am glad that I did.
No sole The price is right but the first time I wore the ... sole peeled off the left boot, how disappointing. I brought them to my shoe guy and he repaired the sole, I wear them every day they are comfortable and can be worn with just about any outfit.
Cute ... good price, but you get what you pay for... I read the other reviews and got the impression these ... would be comfortable. They are definitely not! There is no padding in the soles of these ... went and bought some gel inserts to put in them, but have not tried them yet. Otherwise, the ... cute shoe and for something so trendy, I wouldn't want to spend a lot of money, so these fit the bill. The construction on these ... also shows they are inexpensive - there's a lot of glue around the heel and they are pretty bare bones. But, if you want a cute, trendy shoe that you can wear with skinny jeans or tights and don't feel like spending the big bucks, this is for you.
returned them twice! I really thought these would be my annual winter purchase this year. This is how I returned these shoes twice: I first bought them from zappos for a little cheaper price, I really wasn't sure if I liked them, first off, I am a size 6, I started to realize that wedge shoes do not look good in small sizes because they make the feet look even unattractively smaller. I tried them on and the front of the shoes where the curve of the foot starts to meet the ankle was bulging out, and the ankle was just way TOO BIG, after I put them on, the very top of the shoes look like a boat and made my ankle look abnormally thin, this didn't look good. So I returned them. AND THEN: I decided to to buy them again from Piperlime for even a cheaper promotional price, because I thought for the that price, I should just give them another chance, but when I got them in the mail, I tried them on again, and decided quickly that even for the cheap price, I didn't want to keep them. The wedge just looked cheap on me, the color was not what I really wanted either since they are really darker. But maybe if you happen to have bigger feet with a bigger bone structure in that area, then these shoes would look ok on you.
Somewhere in between "Meh" and "Why Did I Buy These?" The only plus is that the shoe does make your foot look smaller. This is a slightly lower heel for me. I got a lower heel becuase I wanted everyday boots for the winter that were comfortable. These are not comfortable, however. The inside side of the boot has something that is rubbing up against the top of my ankle that makes these painful to wear. These are not comfortable enough to be my fallback comfort pair of cute ... yet not cute enough to be my cute pair of ... I'll wear even if uncomfortable. They were cheap -- but this really proves that you get what you pay for.
I was very disappointed when I received this pair of ... price was good and they looked great online, however, when I received them the front of one shoe looked like it was scuffed and they were WAY too big around the ankles to look chic. They did nothing for the legs...
