Best for Smaller People I have small feet (size 5-5 1/2) and have had a hard time finding cheaper rain boots in my size that would also fit around my smaller calves. I finally decided to invest in these and they were a great decision and worth every dollar. The rain doesn't come in at the top because they are fitted around the calf, they offer them in smaller sizes, and they are very comfortable to walk in all day! If you have had trouble finding rain boots that don't look huge on your legs, these are a good choice!
LOVE these boots!!! These boots are so comfortable and stylish! They come all the way up to your knee, which is rare for a rain ... rain boots I previously owned are nothing compared to these! These are heavy duty, high quality rubber. EXTREMELY well made!
Best Rainboots! I've gone through three pairs of rain boots in 4 years - although they are expensive, they are well worth it. If you live in a city and walk a lot, spend the extra money and buy Hunter rain boots.
Super Duper SLAMMIN'' in my rain boots! WAHOO!! LOVE them. I bought three pairs...but had to limit myself to two colors. Absolute delight. I am an extremely picky person and i love these. Whe n you get them they are a little chalky but i think it is because of the production film over it...not sure...but i love them and being from sunny socal where I despise the rain, my hunter boots has made me not mind it so much because at the end of a rainy day, the boots make me my gloomy rainy days one heck of a day....can't rain on my parade no more!! BOOYAH!! I can't believe how much i love these boots that i am taking my time to write a review on them!! I am not one those types to do that either.
Love them! I needed durable boots for all the rain here in Kent, Ohio but they had to be comfy enough for me to walk all around campus in. I LOVE these boots. They are so comfotable and really warm. You can make them go with some cute skinny jeans or roll out of bed and wear them with some sweats. I did order 1/2 size smaller and they fit perfectly. The ideal rain ... want it to rain here everyday now!!!!
Waited 3 years for these... and it was worth the wait. I searched and searched for a rain ... 3 years that would fit great, looked mature, and under $40; I never came close. Since 3 years went by and still no rain boots, I decided to go ahead and spend a little more on a rain ... am so happy I did. My Hunters feel great and look so stylish. Constant compliments, anytime I wear them. Even my husband likes them (he could care less about women shoes). This is proof that the boots were worth every penny. No complaints - however, I highly recommend buying a whole size down; I am a size 6 (US) and fit perfectly into a size 5 (US) in Hunters.
Not the Same Boots as Pictured I wasn't excited to pay a chunk of change for a rain ... but I need something to wear to work other than my hardware store boots on rainy days- and I did get excited by Hunter's colors, oh to have a bright shiny ... rain! The ... chose was 'Rachel Zoe's Pick' and I chose it, as I thought she did, for the color - a shocking shiny purple. However, when they arrived at my house they truly lived up to the color Aubergine (eggplant, ick). The color is flat/dull, otherwise unremarkable. When I examined the photo more closely there appears to be fabric around the buckle, but it's plastic on my ... said, these are good boots, I can see why they're so popular. So if it rains before I get around to sending them back, I may keep them. Just disappointed by the color...
Fun Rain ... The only reason I chose Hunter rain boots over other brands was the wide selection of welly socks. You could easily find a plain simple rain ... half the price, but when paired with welly socks, the boots are worth the extra money. I have four different pairs of the socks and each pair gives the boots a different look. All of the previous reviews are pretty clear, THESE BOOTS RUN BIG. I usually wear a size 8-8.5, so I ordered the 8. Even when I'm wearing the thick welly socks in the boots, they are still too big. Another complaint is they are a little tight around my calves when I wear them over jeans. I am a runner, so I have muscular calves. If your calves are bigger than average, you might want to consider getting the wider version of this ... chose the aubergine color. It seems to go with anything. Overall, I like these boots. They are very trendy right now, but they are a practical addition to any wardrobe and they are good quality.
Great Waterproof ... This ... great if you are looking for a rain ... but aren't comfortable with all the loud print options you see in rain boots lately. They only come in whole sizes, so they will run a little big if you wear a half size (and I do), but it isn't unmanageable. My one complaint is that they are tight at the top around the calf, especially if you are a runner or work out often and have decent sized calf muscles (as I do). If you are looking to be able to tuck your pants into the ... one might not be for you.
Investment Piece I live in so cal and it does not rain much but after spending a raining day at disneyland with a cheap pair of rain boots I decided that I should invest in something more comfortable. These boots are comfortable and stylish. I normally wear a 6 1/2 and ordered the size 6. The boots fit a little big so that there's room to wear thicker socks.
not for you if you are petite :( I bought a pair of these recently in a size 8 womens, which is what size i normally am and they fit just fine there. the problem is the height of the ... I'm only 5'2 and the shaft of the ... so tall that it hits right in the middle of my knees making it uncomfortable while walking and trying to sit. I really wanted a tall ... fall and i'm heartbroken that these aren't working out well. if your taller i'm sure you will absolutely love these boots

Amazing rainboots! After putting off buying these Hunters for a few years and settling on less expensive rainboots which have fallen apart, I now know why people highly recommend Hunter ... They are made so well, fit wonderfully, provide excellent water coverage and are incredibly cute! I am actually excited to wear my ... rains. I am average size and they fit my calves well (5'5'', 140 pounds). Also, I ordered a half size smaller..I usually wear a 9.5 and the 9 fit me to a tee. These are a great investment, well worth it! Some people complained that glossy showed wear, but mine are wearing great...I ordered the grey color. Get them, you won't regret it!

I should mention that if you are going to order sock/liners, they will be MUCH more snug with the liners in, so keep that in mind. That is the compromise I had to make, because I know without the liners the size 9 would be HUGE and flop around -- and part of why I wanted Hunter wellies is because they are fitted and not big and floppy like most other rain ... order to get the liners/socks to work, I typically put the liners on first (over my jeans or leggings) and then put my feet in the ... Again, its pretty snug, but not a sort of uncomfortable snug (mainly I have a pretty darn difficult time getting my feet out of the ... liners in). SO... I'll deal with the bit of snug ness in the winter and come spring I'll wear them without liners!

We are expecting light snow Monday and I did not want to wear my leather boots for obvious reasons. I also own a pair of the Earth boots in brown that I ordered from Piperlime as well. (Read my reveiw on those) They are awesome and weather/water proof too but I've worn those several times and its always fun to have an alternative pair and color. I was able to wear them all day in comfort .One of my inexpensive pairs of boots helps my heel but most are too flat and the Hunters gave support all day.I thought the 8 ( I normally take a 9) was just shy of being too small but if I had taken the 9 it would have been too big.Overall I liked them and it helps me rationalize the cost because they seemed to keep cool too. I noticed my feet didnt get as warm as they do in some rain boots.I got the black gloss which is nice it has a bit of sheen and doesnt look as like as dusty as some of the other Hunter colors I have seen on the street ( with the exception of the silver they look good).

Best Rainboots! I've gone through three pairs of rain boots in 4 years - although they are expensive, they are well worth it. If you live in a city and walk a lot, spend the extra money and buy Hunter rain boots.
Super Duper SLAMMIN'' in my rain boots! WAHOO!! LOVE them. I bought three pairs...but had to limit myself to two colors. Absolute delight. I am an extremely picky person and i love these. Whe n you get them they are a little chalky but i think it is because of the production film over it...not sure...but i love them and being from sunny socal where I despise the rain, my hunter boots has made me not mind it so much because at the end of a rainy day, the boots make me my gloomy rainy days one heck of a day....can't rain on my parade no more!! BOOYAH!! I can't believe how much i love these boots that i am taking my time to write a review on them!! I am not one those types to do that either.
Love them! I needed durable boots for all the rain here in Kent, Ohio but they had to be comfy enough for me to walk all around campus in. I LOVE these boots. They are so comfotable and really warm. You can make them go with some cute skinny jeans or roll out of bed and wear them with some sweats. I did order 1/2 size smaller and they fit perfectly. The ideal rain ... want it to rain here everyday now!!!!
Waited 3 years for these... and it was worth the wait. I searched and searched for a rain ... 3 years that would fit great, looked mature, and under $40; I never came close. Since 3 years went by and still no rain boots, I decided to go ahead and spend a little more on a rain ... am so happy I did. My Hunters feel great and look so stylish. Constant compliments, anytime I wear them. Even my husband likes them (he could care less about women shoes). This is proof that the boots were worth every penny. No complaints - however, I highly recommend buying a whole size down; I am a size 6 (US) and fit perfectly into a size 5 (US) in Hunters.
Not the Same Boots as Pictured I wasn't excited to pay a chunk of change for a rain ... but I need something to wear to work other than my hardware store boots on rainy days- and I did get excited by Hunter's colors, oh to have a bright shiny ... rain! The ... chose was 'Rachel Zoe's Pick' and I chose it, as I thought she did, for the color - a shocking shiny purple. However, when they arrived at my house they truly lived up to the color Aubergine (eggplant, ick). The color is flat/dull, otherwise unremarkable. When I examined the photo more closely there appears to be fabric around the buckle, but it's plastic on my ... said, these are good boots, I can see why they're so popular. So if it rains before I get around to sending them back, I may keep them. Just disappointed by the color...
Fun Rain ... The only reason I chose Hunter rain boots over other brands was the wide selection of welly socks. You could easily find a plain simple rain ... half the price, but when paired with welly socks, the boots are worth the extra money. I have four different pairs of the socks and each pair gives the boots a different look. All of the previous reviews are pretty clear, THESE BOOTS RUN BIG. I usually wear a size 8-8.5, so I ordered the 8. Even when I'm wearing the thick welly socks in the boots, they are still too big. Another complaint is they are a little tight around my calves when I wear them over jeans. I am a runner, so I have muscular calves. If your calves are bigger than average, you might want to consider getting the wider version of this ... chose the aubergine color. It seems to go with anything. Overall, I like these boots. They are very trendy right now, but they are a practical addition to any wardrobe and they are good quality.
Great Waterproof ... This ... great if you are looking for a rain ... but aren't comfortable with all the loud print options you see in rain boots lately. They only come in whole sizes, so they will run a little big if you wear a half size (and I do), but it isn't unmanageable. My one complaint is that they are tight at the top around the calf, especially if you are a runner or work out often and have decent sized calf muscles (as I do). If you are looking to be able to tuck your pants into the ... one might not be for you.
Investment Piece I live in so cal and it does not rain much but after spending a raining day at disneyland with a cheap pair of rain boots I decided that I should invest in something more comfortable. These boots are comfortable and stylish. I normally wear a 6 1/2 and ordered the size 6. The boots fit a little big so that there's room to wear thicker socks.
not for you if you are petite :( I bought a pair of these recently in a size 8 womens, which is what size i normally am and they fit just fine there. the problem is the height of the ... I'm only 5'2 and the shaft of the ... so tall that it hits right in the middle of my knees making it uncomfortable while walking and trying to sit. I really wanted a tall ... fall and i'm heartbroken that these aren't working out well. if your taller i'm sure you will absolutely love these boots
