I cannot say enough good things about Hunter boots
My favorite rain ... far, I cannot stop accumulating more pairs! I've had people ask me why I would spend $100+ on a rubber boot--because these boots are worth EVERY penny of it! I'm 5'6 and these boots hit perfectly below the knee. They are so classy & chic and get better with more wear. They do "bloom" with repeated wear--but I think it makes the boots look better. I think that the fleece liners Hunter makes are hideous however I would highly recommend some type of liner or thick socks with these. They do not have any type of built in liner at all and your feet can get rather cold in the snow or rain. I actually get more use out of these in the winter than on rainy days--the traction on them is incredible for snow. These blow my Uggs out of the water during snowy days. Also beware that the "high gloss" is VERY glossy/flashy looking. All my Hunters are the original--no gloss.. they have a smoother look to them; which I prefer. But if you like the shiny rainboot look--go for the gloss. Either way, you can't go wrong with Hunter. I love seeing the new styles they bring out every season; however the classic/original Hunters will never go out of style!

Phenomenal boots. Fell in love when I first put them on. I'm a petite 5'2" and the ... shaft stops an inch below my knee. I hesitated in getting them at first because I thought they'd be too long & go past my knees but I am so glad that they fit just right! Hunter constructs fabulous boots, very durable and well cushioned, can walk for miles without complaint. Great profile too. I wore these with a dress to work with black tights and they look chic, not clunky like other rain boots at all. Circumference is just right - tights, skinny or regular jeans all fit in them. I live in rainy Seattle so they're great for the city. They run a bit larger than actual shoe size but I wear thick socks so they fit fine. I highly recommend getting the Hunter ... Buffer - any scuff marks will disappear with this cleaner and it helps restore them to new once the rubber blooms. Get these boots - they're worth the investment!

I LOVE these Hunter original rain boots! I ordered my normal shoe size, and they fit great. The only reason you would need to size up is if you plan on wearing thick socks the majority of times you wear the boots. I would get original gloss or high gloss because the plain ones are very dull. I definitely recommend these boots!

quality and fashion in one!
i just so happened to get my hunter ... mail on a day it was raining. I wore them to class and aound campus and fell in love. These rain ... actually comfy to walk in and not clunky. They fit true to size and the rubber sole adds alot of comfort! I highly recommend these ...

works for problems with heels cool too
I have a few pairs of rain boots so it was somewhat excessive to buy these especially at their price- however I also have a heel problem and these boots have a raised heel area and it seemed to help. I was able to wear them all day in comfort .One of my inexpensive pairs of boots helps my heel but most are too flat and the Hunters gave support all day.I thought the 8 ( I normally take a 9) was just shy of being too small but if I had taken the 9 it would have been too big.Overall I liked them and it helps me rationalize the cost because they seemed to keep cool too. I noticed my feet didnt get as warm as they do in some rain boots.I got the black gloss which is nice it has a bit of sheen and doesnt look as like as dusty as some of the other Hunter colors I have seen on the street ( with the exception of the silver they look good).

Just received my boots. I ordered Graphite in Womens size 7. I wear 7.5 so I was glad I ordered the 7. The fit is just perfect and I can still wear heavy socks. I just tried them with both regular and heavy socks and the fit is great. Love the color! Very modern. They will go with everything. They arrived just it time. We are expecting light snow Monday and I did not want to wear my leather boots for obvious reasons. I also own a pair of the Earth boots in brown that I ordered from Piperlime as well. (Read my reveiw on those) They are awesome and weather/water proof too but I've worn those several times and its always fun to have an alternative pair and color. Thank you Piperlime, you are the best!

Christmas Gift
I got these as a Christmas gift, having asked for a size 8 after reading reviews saying they run a bit large. I typically wear an 8.5, and the 8 fits perfectly. I should mention that if you are going to order sock/liners, they will be MUCH more snug with the liners in, so keep that in mind. That is the compromise I had to make, because I know without the liners the size 9 would be HUGE and flop around -- and part of why I wanted Hunter wellies is because they are fitted and not big and floppy like most other rain boots. In order to get the liners/socks to work, I typically put the liners on first (over my jeans or leggings) and then put my feet in the boots. Again, its pretty snug, but not a sort of uncomfortable snug (mainly I have a pretty darn difficult time getting my feet out of the boots with the liners in). SO... I'll deal with the bit of snug ness in the winter and come spring I'll wear them without liners!

Am in love with these boots!
I read the reviews before I bought my lovely Hunter rain boots, and ordered a size down from what I normally wear (US9, so I got US8). They fit perfectly and have enough room in the toe, which was a concern I had. I probably won't be wearing them with an insert since I normally wear two pairs of socks (my feet get cold easily), but I may buy a pair if it gets super cold. They are so cute! I can't wait to wear them with everything, and they will be practical for the rain, snow, sleet, and ice this winter! Great buy!

rain ... goodness
So glad I splurged on these ... They are so much more comfortable than any other cheaper rain ... I've ever owned. I will actually be able to walk in these for extended periods of time and not hurt. Plus they are SO FREAKING CUTE! Worth the money all the way.

Amazing Boots
I have wanted to purchase these boots for a very long time and am soo glad that I finally did. I love these boots because they are taller than the average rain ... am 5'7 and they hit just below the knee), I also like how they are fitted. I purchased Black Glossy (because black goes with everything and when you have to dress up for work you can wear them on the street and you will still look chic). They are warm and comfortable too. I was going back and forth in between the Matte and the Glossy (personally I like the Matte look better) However, after doing research online and from seeing these shoes in stores it seems that the Matte pair gets the ugly chalky white lines on them easier. I feel the glossy are protected better against that and eventually the gloss fades and they look more matte. You can always buff them to get that gloss back (with a dry cloth). Anyway, I've only worn them twice so I am waiting to see how they hold up and how they do in the snow!

Overall - Good Buy
I finally got my Hunter Original boots just in time for the NYC down pours. Overall, I am very pleased. Following advice, I got the boots a whole size smaller than I usually am and they fit perfectly. They're not tight or scrape and I am able to wear socks with them. I will note that the Hunter ... sock won't work. The ... isn't clunky or heavey, like other rain boots, and fit sleekly to the leg and foot. The only compaint I have is about the circumfrance of the ... able to wear denim pants but it is a bit snug. WIth time it'll stretch out naturally, but something to keep in mind. If your legs are full then you might have trouble with that.

INCREDIBLY HAPPY!!!
I wish it would rain every day so i could wear them all the time with out looking like a buffoon for wearing rain boots in the sunshine. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!!! Well worthy the [$]

Best for Smaller People
I have small feet (size 5-5 1/2) and have had a hard time finding cheaper rain boots in my size that would also fit around my smaller calves. I finally decided to invest in these and they were a great decision and worth every dollar. The rain doesn't come in at the top because they are fitted around the calf, they offer them in smaller sizes, and they are very comfortable to walk in all day! If you have had trouble finding rain boots that don't look huge on your legs, these are a good choice!

Waited 3 years for these...
and it was worth the wait. I searched and searched for a rain ... 3 years that would fit great, looked mature, and under $40; I never came close. Since 3 years went by and still no rain boots, I decided to go ahead and spend a little more on a rain ... am so happy I did. My Hunters feel great and look so stylish. Constant compliments, anytime I wear them. Even my husband likes them (he could care less about women shoes). This is proof that the boots were worth every penny. No complaints - however, I highly recommend buying a whole size down; I am a size 6 (US) and fit perfectly into a size 5 (US) in Hunters.

Love them!
I needed durable boots for all the rain here in Kent, Ohio but they had to be comfy enough for me to walk all around campus in. I LOVE these boots. They are so comfotable and really warm. You can make them go with some cute skinny jeans or roll out of bed and wear them with some sweats. I did order 1/2 size smaller and they fit perfectly. The ideal rain ... want it to rain here everyday now!!!!

Super Duper SLAMMIN'' in my rain boots! WAHOO!!
LOVE them. I bought three pairs...but had to limit myself to two colors. Absolute delight. I am an extremely picky person and i love these. Whe n you get them they are a little chalky but i think it is because of the production film over it...not sure...but i love them and being from sunny socal where I despise the rain, my hunter boots has made me not mind it so much because at the end of a rainy day, the boots make me my gloomy rainy days one heck of a day....can't rain on my parade no more!! BOOYAH!! I can't believe how much i love these boots that i am taking my time to write a review on them!! I am not one those types to do that either.

Best Rainboots!
I've gone through three pairs of rain boots in 4 years - although they are expensive, they are well worth it. If you live in a city and walk a lot, spend the extra money and buy Hunter rain boots.

These boots are so comfortable and stylish! They come all the way up to your knee, which is rare for a rain ... rain boots I previously owned are nothing compared to these! These are heavy duty, high quality rubber. EXTREMELY well made!

Not the Same Boots as Pictured
I wasn't excited to pay a chunk of change for a rain ... but I need something to wear to work other than my hardware store boots on rainy days- and I did get excited by Hunter's colors, oh to have a bright shiny ... rain! The ... chose was 'Rachel Zoe's Pick' and I chose it, as I thought she did, for the color - a shocking shiny purple. However, when they arrived at my house they truly lived up to the color Aubergine (eggplant, ick). The color is flat/dull, otherwise unremarkable. When I examined the photo more closely there appears to be fabric around the buckle, but it's plastic on my ... said, these are good boots, I can see why they're so popular. So if it rains before I get around to sending them back, I may keep them. Just disappointed by the color...

Fun Rain ...
The only reason I chose Hunter rain boots over other brands was the wide selection of welly socks. You could easily find a plain simple rain ... half the price, but when paired with welly socks, the boots are worth the extra money. I have four different pairs of the socks and each pair gives the boots a different look. All of the previous reviews are pretty clear, THESE BOOTS RUN BIG. I usually wear a size 8-8.5, so I ordered the 8. Even when I'm wearing the thick welly socks in the boots, they are still too big. Another complaint is they are a little tight around my calves when I wear them over jeans. I am a runner, so I have muscular calves. If your calves are bigger than average, you might want to consider getting the wider version of this ... chose the aubergine color. It seems to go with anything. Overall, I like these boots. They are very trendy right now, but they are a practical addition to any wardrobe and they are good quality.

Investment Piece
I live in so cal and it does not rain much but after spending a raining day at disneyland with a cheap pair of rain boots I decided that I should invest in something more comfortable. These boots are comfortable and stylish. I normally wear a 6 1/2 and ordered the size 6. The boots fit a little big so that there's room to wear thicker socks.

not for you if you are petite :(
I bought a pair of these recently in a size 8 womens, which is what size i normally am and they fit just fine there. the problem is the height of the ... I'm only 5'2 and the shaft of the ... so tall that it hits right in the middle of my knees making it uncomfortable while walking and trying to sit. I really wanted a tall ... fall and i'm heartbroken that these aren't working out well. if your taller i'm sure you will absolutely love these boots
