Best boots ever! I was hestitant to spend over $100 on cold weather boots, but these boots look so good I will be wearing them often. I am sure I will get many uses this year and years to come. They are very well constructed and extremely comfortable. These boots are waterproof right out of the box. They are stylish and functional. They are even nicer then I imagined! True to size and the laces make them nice and snug as oposed to my old pull ons. Piperlime is a pleasure to deal wih and these are the 3rd pair of shoes I have purchased from them.
So. In. Love. I bought these after trying and failing to turn my Hunter Wellies into snow boots. Even with socks and the Hunter fleece liners, my feet froze! Several co workers own Sorels and the more I saw them in the locker room, the more I lusted after them. After researching and seeing how warm and dry and sturdy they are, and what a great investment they'd be, I was sold. I was advised by my coworker to get a size smaller than I normally am. I'm a size 9 and I bought a size 9 and it's perfect. I could not have picked a better time to purchase them, too, as Chicago was just hit with it's 3rd worst blizzard ever. I've worn these boots without socks (apparently my Uggs have trained me like this!) in record low post blizzard temps and my feet stayed toasty warm. There was enough room inside the ... should I chose to wear them with super chunky socks as well. Some users describe the "ski ... syndrome" which I can understand, they are built pretty sturdy but it's not bothersome at all for me and I can tell that after a little wearing in, they'll be more flexible, adding even more to the comfort they already provide. Sweeet!!!! L O-V E these boots! Mine seem to fit true to-size, so no complaints there. They feel very sturdy & like they'll be the perfect warm boots for tromping around in the Michigan winter. Best of all, they're also awesomely cute and not nearly as 'masculine' as most functional winter boots. Can't wait to rock these boots in the snow!!
They Look Great but Run Big & Need to Be Broken In I normally wear 9.5-10 and ordered the 10s thinking that having boots run a little bigger might be good for wearing with thick socks. However, these run quite large. I ended up ordering the 9s after I recieved the 10s for comparison & am keeping the 9s. Even with my thick, wool socks the 9s are comfortable. Like other reviewers said, these are a little heavy but I just plan on wearing these when it snows or is messy afterwards. Also, the boots crease in the back, high on the heel & they have rubbed a little intially. I'm thinking that this will subside when they get 'broken in' but we shall see.
Cute, but uncomfortable! This is my first pair of Sorel's, I wear Ugg's and an old pair of Merrel snow boots that I have had for years. I must say that the Sorel's are beautiful! But, they are uncomfortable! They do feel like Ski boots. They are starting to break in, but it is a process! The sizing is about right, I am normally a 9 1/2, bought the 9 and believe that if they had half sizes, the 9 1/2 would have been perfect. Overall, I am very happy with the boots. They have kept my feet warm and dry here in cold Germany. I am hoping they will continue to get more comfortable!
Warm and so stylish I just got my new boots and I can't wait to wear them. I tried them on and can already tell that they will be very warm. I wasn't sure what size to order , I normally wear an 8 and I ordered an 8 and they will fit great with bulky socks. They are pretty heavy boots so if you are looking for something light these are not the boots for you. I ordered the grey and I think they will look great with anything.
Love these boots! I bought these boots for the snowy days in New England. They are very warm and comfortable and they keep my feet dry. I love the fur around the top....it adds some style to the ... They are easy to get on and tie in a hurry. The only down fall is that the boots are a little stiff on the ankle making it hard to flex your foot....driving in these boots is a little difficult. I'm hoping the boots soften up a little with wear.
It''s Complicated I fell in love with these boots when I saw them on this site. They were exactly what I was looking for: something warm, waterproof, fashionable, an alternative to those ugly UGGs. I originally wanted them in the tan color, but Piperlime wasn't carrying that color and I had a gift card, so I ordered the brown, and I ordered a 7 after reading that they run big (I'm a 7.5-8). They came and they were HUGE. But I loved them still. They were so big, I figured I had to be a 6. When I went to send them back, the site was carrying the tan color. So I ordered them in 6, tan. They came and they were way too tight! I tried to trade them in, again, for the tan in a 7, but by then, they were all sold out. I ended up ordering them from another site, and the size 7 [...] was actually perfect. I guess the sizing isn't uniform, which explains why other reviewers had such varied reactions. All in all, these boots look great and do a great job keeping me warm and dry (they have been snowstorm tested). They are a bit weird to walk in, however. There's definitely a "clomp clomp" effect to them. I wouldn't advise them for long walks, but otherwise, thumbs up!
Great Looking but Clunky It took me 3 weeks to get my boots because they were backordered. After waiting all that time they arrived today. They are great looking boots however they are very stiff and clunky to walk in. I hope they loosen up a bit as I break them in. Also I wear a 8.5 and got the 8 and they fit ok not too much extra room for thick socks so they fit pretty true to size in my opinion. These boots also dont seem like they will be warm when it snows like my Uggs are but guess I will see when it snows.
These boots are so cute and I'm really disappointed that I don't get to keep them. So many other reviewers say they run a size large, but this isn't true.. I wear a 7 1/2 and tried the 7's and 8's. The 8's were just gigantic, but the 7's were a tiny bit too short and way too wide. Even if they came in half sizes they wouldn't work on anybody who doesn't have extremely wide feet. On top of the poor sizing, these boots are very stiff and painfully hit the back of the ankle with every step. Just not worth the pain, so back they go.
What''s all the hype? These boots are terrible. I don't understand how they've gotten such great reviews. They are stiff, uncomfortable, and bulky. I was really looking forward to wearing these boots during the cold Colorado winters but these boots are very difficult to walk around in. They have a ski boot-type feel where it's difficult to step from heel to toe. They have been returned.
Awesome Boots! I just purchased these boots based on other reviews I have read, and I must say, they are Awesome!!! They are so warm, comfy and cute as well. They do run big though. I am usually a 6.5, and had to order a 6 which is perfect. Great boots made with great quality.

Saw on the Today Show - had to have them! With all the snow on Long Island this year, I knew I needed a good pair on snow boots - well these fit the bill. These boots keep your foot warm and dry. I would recommend to others.
Great classic boots These are the classic Sorel boots that are the ultimate winter ... fit seems big at first but is fine with thick socks; I bought my usual size. My only complaint is that they do make your feet look BIG!
love the ''bous Saw these boots in the [...]magazine and absolutely fell in love. I just received them as an early Christmas gift and enjoy them even more than imaginable. I read reviews before asking my parents for them and had them order a size down and they fit perfectly!! The are rather clunky so if you are looking for small, sleek boots these are not for you, but if you want big comfy boots these are amazing! I am sure I will be a Sorel wearer for years to come!
Very warm, nice shoes I just got the shoes about a week ago. First of all I want to say that it was my first purchase with Piperlime and I am so impressed with their [...] packaging [...] Now the shoes, at first they look huge but then when I put my feet inside I realize that they are actually a great fit. The are big because there is so much insulation inside and also it accounts for thick socks. The boots are great, I love them.
Great fit, after an initial return! Boots are everything I thought they would be. However, this was technically my second pair. I ordered an 11 and they were enormous. I am on the upper end of an 11, and they were still way too big. The ten was MUCH better. Sure to keep me toasty and dry this winter while looking cute!
Great boots I love these boots! Great for playing in the snow and going to Chicago Bear' s games! There is a inner wrap so snow does not get in them but it is not tight around the leg although this will not allow you to tuck in your pants unless you are wearing leggins. ... cut jeans fit over them or I like to roll up the jeans so the white fuzzy stuff show. Over all GREAT snow ...
Ugh Wow - the other reviewers weren't joking when they said these boots make your feet look HUGE. I felt like I was wearing clown shoes when I wore them during the recent snowfall. I usually wear an 8 or an 8.5; I got these in the 8 and they're big in the foot while being too tight at the ankle, making it difficult to walk. Another thing that really annoys me about these boots is that there is an inner, insulated sock that is super tight, so when you pull your feet out the insulated sock comes out too, so you have to stuff it back in before you can wear the boots again. There have got to be loads of better snow boots out there... I sure wish I had ordered one of those. I ended up wearing them because I needed warm, waterproof boots to wear in the snow so I can't return, but will most likely offload these on [@] They're HORRIBLE.
No way. I actually saw these boots last year and was excited to order them when Piperlime had a 20% off coupon. However, when I received them, I was very disappointed, especially since I've been looking at them since last fall. I'm a size 7, and these boots made my feet look HUGE. I know that snow boots are supposed to be big and chunky, but these were ridiculous. Maybe on someone tall they would look less ridiculous, but for my 5'4 size 2 frame, they looked like clown shoes. Honestly made it look like I had size 11 feet. Unless you are looking to make your feet look 4 sizes bigger, find another pair of snow boots!

Awesome I absolutely love these boots! I used them for snowshoeing. They are so cute and comfortable! Very warm. I have a wide toe box, and the boots had plenty of room in width. Perfect winter boots!
I LOVE THEM These are the warmest most comfortable snow ... have ever ought. My feet stayed dry and warm, while hiking in the snow with my dogs. They are so comfortable and so pretty I Didn't want to take them off.
Best winter boots ever!!! These are hands down the cutest, warmest, nicest winter boots ever! True to Sorel size, which to me means they run a TAD wide to accommodate thick socks if you choose. If you do not wear thick socks you will be fine they are not sloppy, and your foot will not be sliding all around. (I have a slightly narrow medium foot also.) They have great cushioning on the foot bed and are comfy for all day wear. Great for stomping through the snow with my kiddos, and for wearing w/my skinny jeans to be cute and warm. Get compliments on them all the time! I wear a 7 and they do not look overly large by any means. BUY THESE BOOTS NOW!! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!
just what i was looking for in my opinion, these are the perfect winter boots! they keep your feet extremely warm and dry, and really... isn't waterproof leather everyone's dream? these are probably the only all weather winter boots i've found that i thought were cute enough to wear out in public.

Can even wear a thicker sock with them. Be aware, they are Sorels and are meant to be cold weather, insulating boots - not fashion boots - so they have a wide sole. Some may find this clunky and weird.
Love them! These boots are great I am a 7.5 and got them in a 6 they fit great with regular socks. I don't plan on trying them with a super thick sock because they are warm enough just the way they are. Beware they are a bit heavy on your feet but I guess that is to be expected from a snow ... have worn these boots with leggins, skinny jeans and even yoga pants, the possibilities are endless!
Great ... These boots are SO WARM and I get lots of compliments on them! After reading other reviews, I decided to order a size 9 because I have very narrow feet. This ... definitely does run a bit big, but that's good, because it leaves room for warm winter socks. :) Also, I read complaints that the ... shaft was too big (I believe it's about 18" around) but it's actually perfect if you have curvy or muscular legs! My only complaint is that the boots don't hold your ankle in very snug, so the ankle drops a bit when you're walking around. Other than that, they're really awesome winter boots.

My foot would slip all around inside the ... went with the size 7, which fits perfectly with thin socks. The quality seems great, and I just love the look. Plus, I got them with a 20% coupon, so couldn't beat the price. Definitely the perfect snow ...
More than what I needed... I liked these boots, but as other reviewers have said, they run about a half size small. I wear a 7 1/2 and ordered an 8, which fit well, however they do indeed make your feet look huge.. But, these are heavy duty boots...if you're planning to spend a lot of time walking through deep snow, they would be perfect since the ... shaft is quite tall as well. But I really just needed some boots that would get me to and from the office and keep me dry on winter errands, so I sent these back and went with the Sorel Tofino ... instead.
Disappointed I have owned leather/suede Sorel boots for the last 4 years. They have been amazing throughout fall and winter MN weather. However, it is time to replace them. I thought these boots would be a good replacement, but they were not nearly as nice of quality. The size was accurate, but they are clunky and heavy. They definitely feel like snow boots. I wouldn't recommend them for everyday wear.
Ugliest boots ever? I ordered these boots because I thought they'd be nice and warm and also cute in a Nanook of the North kind of way. Warm, absolutely -- that's why I gave them the two stars. (Also, Sorel boots are really waterproof and have great traction.) But oh my word, they are hideous on. I have slender, shapely legs -- I look slim in pretty much anything -- but the way these are cut, they made my legs look just super fat and shapeless no matter how much I tightened the laces. Also, they have the terrible look of appearing to be *trying* to look cute when they resolutely aren't. (A kind of "Emperor's New Clothes" effect, if you see my point?) Save yourself the hassle of sending these back -- get the Joan of Arctic or another style that's trying less hard but will work equally well!
