Great boots! I was a little nervous ordering these boots because others reviews had mentioned that they ran a half size small. I normally wear a 10 1/2 or 11. I ordered the 11 and they fit me perfectly. I have athletic calves and the ... slightly tight around my calves, but they are made of very high quality leather and the leather definitely gives with wear. I normally have to wear insoles, but these boots have a moderate supportive arch support. I highly recommend these boots, they are very high quality for the price! My only negative is that the first few times I wore the boots, it rubbed on the back of my ankle. Now that they are broken in, it doesn't bother me anymore.
Looking for a ... almost 5 years! I've ordered numerous boots over the last 5 years looking for just the right pair, and always returned them. I've finally found the right pair! A ... isn't high heels but still modern and hip. I work in a casual office, and these are perfect with pants and skirts. Lots of compliments. After saying they were Keen's several people have commented, "I wouldn't have guess that." I love Keen's, but am getting a little tired of the identifiable sole and trim - and this ... doesn't have that, but maintains the Keen comfort.
Great Winter ... While everyone is buying Hunters, I just could not follow the flock and had to go with a more traditional all weather ... my 3rd pair of Keens (my first pair purchased 6 years ago and still in rotation) and I love these boots. I'm 5'3" and about 145lbs. I don't have skinny calves but they are not too meaty either. I can zip these boots over jeans and sweater socks. I would not wear them with skirts necessarily, as I think they are a bit too casual, but I would wear them to grab a bite to eat on a chilly weekend. The foot runs a little small (I'm a size 7) but I think a size up would be too much.
Cute, but not my style I own other Keen shoes, and I am pleased with the comfort and quality of the brand. I was searching for a black ... would be comfortable and versitile. I want to wear them with skinny jeans, leggings and dresses...but I would also like to be able to dress them up or down. These boots I felt were just a little casual for me...I just could not see these paired with nice pair of jeans and dressy top for going out to dinner. They would be great for only casual wear...shopping, errands, travel, and maybe a casual work environment. The ... definitely comfortable, the leather substantial, and I even liked the style and look of the ... So, I did return them because I would have needed a second pair of black boots for the season. But if you are strictly looking for a casual and comfortable ... might be for you.
Nice; Don''t order size up! Many of the online reviews said to order a half size up. I normally wear a 10 so I ordered both 10 and 10.5 and have to return the 10.5...it was just too big, and I'm a true 10 (sometimes even a little bigger). The 10's fit great with a pair of average thickness socks (athletic socks, thin smartwools, etc.) inside. They are cute, nice leather, etc. (like everyone else has said), but the reason I didn't give 5 stars is because you'd think boots that will often be worn outdoors in the winter would have some traction! I almost lost traction on my kitchen floor in these, though I'm sure it wouldn't really be a problem unless you were on ice. That being said, I'm still going to keep them (maybe yax trax?). Nice, comfortable boots!
Great boots! I spied these at [...] and loved them, so when I saw these on sale here at Piperlime, I snatched a pair up. The leather is nice and durable, the soles thick (one of my biggest pet peeves are slippery shoes.) As with all Merrells, they're quite comfy. The boots run a bit small so I knew to order a 6 (I'm regularly a 5.5) and the fit was great. I'm petite with skinny ish calves and the calf area of the ... works fine as is with jeans. If I want to wear the boots with tights or leggings, I have to adjust the straps a tiny bit, which bunches up the leather and looks kinda weird. For me, the holes on the straps are too far apart...I'm right in between the regular hole and the next tighter one, so I may have to find a cobbler to add an extra hole in for me. That's my only con for these boots because I otherwise love them!
Comfy right out of the box! I love Keen shoes and own several pairs. I'd been eyeing the Bern Baby Bern boots for awhile before finally taking the dive, and I'm so glad that I did. I went half a size up from my normal Keen size, and they fit perfectly. Supportive, comfortable, no pinching or rubbing anywhere right out of the box. I have athletic calves, and these fit them perfectly. I haven't tried tucking jeans in with them yet, but I think they would be just fine. The buckles are very stylish, and keep them from looking super casual. My only complaint is the fact that they have very little traction on the sole. Living in Florida, this isn't a big deal for me, but if you live somewhere where there's ice in the winter, it might be a problem.
Nice shoes! Boots are beautiful, well made. Definitely order 1/2 size up as they run small. One ... noticeably larger than the other, I'm assuming this is due to the fact that they are leather and one may have been stretched. I ordered this in two sizes, and the other pair was normal, so I think this was just random but something to look out for. Snug in the calves, but I have large calves. Will work nicely with a skirt or under pants, but not sure if they will fit over jeans unless they stretch over time.
Great casual boots I ordered these boots in my regular size (6.5) and a 7 based on reviews that they run small. I agree that they run small. My toe was hitting the front of the ... 6.5. So I went with the 7. The ... fits well. It is extremely comfortable. The only complaint is that my heel lifts up every time I step (it happened in both sizes), which is a bit annoying, but it's not annoying enough to not want the boots. The style and comfort are definitely worth it. The ... height is good - right below the knee, and the ... not too wide. I have smaller calves but not abnormally small. The ... slightly larger than my calf, which still looks good and feels comfortable.
Too casual Loved the fit, these boots were very comfortable and true to size. I ordered them in black and when they arrived they were a bit too casual for my taste. My intention was to be able to wear them with skirts or jeans, but related to the style I fear they reminded me more of goulashes than boots. I ended up returning them, but if you are looking more at comfort than style these boots are for you!
Too big in the calf I love the Keen brand and I know they make quality products so I was so excited to receive these boots. But when I tried them on, I knew they had to go back. One ... slightly larger in the foot bed than the other. The real problem though was the top of the ... around my calf was way too big. I tried to tighten the buckle but that made it look ridiculous because the material was all bunched up. I am an average build (5'6" 115 pds.) and my legs are not skinny by any means so I was surprised when the fit was not how I expected. Especially after reading the previous reviews about people not being able to get them zipped. Oh well, my search for the perfect ... continues.
Great Buy! LOVE these ... Finally found winter ... aren't manly or goofy. Warm, waterproof and look great over jeans. Comfortable too:)
I agree with the other reviewer that the front is a little long, but the boots surpassed my expectations in comfort.

I''m in love! I did a lot of research in finding the perfect ... well made but very cute, oh and not Uggs. These are it! I bought them early December and I've worn them everyday since. They are very comfortable , which for me is a good thing because I have almost non existing arches (which by the way there is room to wear orthotics if need be) and I didn't want them to look boring, but also they needed to be good in upstate New York snow. They can be worn over skinny jeans or if you have a semi normal wide opening they can be worn under as well and they don't look bad. I wish they had more colors here because I would of bought another pair...THATS how much I adore these ...
impervious to the elements after 12 years of living in NY and suffering through the winter with improper footwear, i finally took the plunge and bought these boots. i am very picky about winter boots?they couldn't be UGGs, couldn't be too heavy (since I have a lot of stairs to tackle, and lots of walking to and from work/trains/etc daily), and had to be cute enough that i would actually put them on. these boots satisfy all those goals while being incredibly warm and comfortable. in an exceptionally snowy winter, i have finally been able to walk on unshoveled sidewalks surefootedly, and wade through slush puddles with dry feet. AND i have had multiple friends ask me where they can find the same boots. highly recommended!

Awesome Boots! I have been wanting a quality pair of boots that could be worn both as a casual pair of shoes and during heavy rains to keep my feet dry. I love these boots! They are extremely comfortable; there was no "break in" period or stiffness to the boots. They fit under bootcut jeans perfectly. I wear these shoes much more than I initially wanted the boots for; they are great quality and will last a long time. I would recommend these boots to anyone.
Exactly what I expected These ... exactly as advertised. I teeter between a 7.5 and 8. I ordered a 7.5 and they fit perfectly. Haven't tried them in the snow yet so I can't say how warm they are, but they are very comfortable and cute. Great to pair with jeans.
Great boots! Although I ordered these boots a few months ago, I did not want to rate them based only on their looks. After a recent snow storm, I wore these boots to walk my dog in 19 degree weather and 6 inches of snow - and they were perfect. My feet stayed warm and dry the entire time. In addition, you can tuck your jeans into the boots comfortably. All in all, these are perfect for cold, snowy weather.
cute but not warm I bought these boots because I wanted boots I could wear in the snow but keep my feet dry and still be cute. Well they are cute and they keep my feet dry but my toes are always freezing! It doesnt matter what socks I wear I can't get my feet warm when I wear these ... They are fine in moderately cold weather but if you are going to be somewhere really cold or in the snow I don't recommend them as a warm ...

Super Cute I just got my ... today. Living in Minnesota with all the snow, I need good pair of winter ... Besides being super warm, these ... stylish AND comfortable. Since I work in a auto repair and tire shop, the floors are wet from snow dripping off the cars. These ... keep my feet dry. I received lots of compliments. Even the guys noticed them!
So. In. Love. I bought these after trying and failing to turn my Hunter Wellies into snow ... Even with socks and the Hunter fleece liners, my feet froze! Several co workers own Sorels and the more I saw them in the locker room, the more I lusted after them. After researching and seeing how warm and dry and sturdy they are, and what a great investment they'd be, I was sold. I was advised by my coworker to get a size smaller than I normally am. I'm a size 9 and I bought a size 9 and it's perfect. I could not have picked a better time to purchase them, too, as Chicago was just hit with it's 3rd worst blizzard ever. I've worn these ... without socks (apparently my Uggs have trained me like this!) in record low post blizzard temps and my feet stayed toasty warm. There was enough room inside the ... should I chose to wear them with super chunky socks as well. Some users describe the "ski ... syndrome" which I can understand, they are built pretty sturdy but it's not bothersome at all for me and I can tell that after a little wearing in, they'll be more flexible, adding even more to the comfort they already provide. Best ... ever! I was hestitant to spend over $100 on cold weather ... but these ... look so good I will be wearing them often. I am sure I will get many uses this year and years to come. ... very well constructed and extremely comfortable. These ... waterproof right out of the box. ... stylish and functional. ... even nicer then I imagined! True to size and the laces make them nice and snug as oposed to my old pull ons. Piperlime is a pleasure to deal wih and these are the 3rd pair of shoes I have purchased from them.
Love these ... I had to return the first pair because the buttons (that attached the "pulls") on the side of the ... were loose and falling off. Piperlime took the ... back and exchanged for the same pair, no problem. The second pair is much better! The buttons are still intact, ... comfortable to walk in, attractive (I get a lot of compliments), and WARM... which is a plus in the cold Chicago winters!

They're like a favorite pair of ... used to have, and I'm so glad to find another pair like them. Other reviewers mentioned lack of ankle flexibility -- but they must never have worn ... before. If you're tromping through snow, plowing a driveway, or just plain cold, you'll appreciate the ankle support and comfort of their sturdiness. I wear them to work on public transit here in DC-- their traction is great on the slippery Metro floors -- and will also love them when I visit my best friend in Minnesota. These ... perfect!!
Love these ... I bought these ... snowy days in New England. They are very warm and comfortable and they keep my feet dry. I love the fur around the top....it adds some style to the ... They are easy to get on and tie in a hurry. The only down fall is that the ... little stiff on the ankle making it hard to flex your foot....driving in these ... little difficult. I'm hoping the ... soften up a little with wear.
Cute, but uncomfortable! This is my first pair of Sorel's, I wear Ugg's and an old pair of Merrel snow ... have had for years. I must say that the Sorel's are beautiful! But, they are uncomfortable! ... do feel like Ski ... starting to break in, but it is a process! The sizing is about right, I am normally a 9 1/2, bought the 9 and believe that if ... had half sizes, the 9 1/2 would have been perfect. Overall, I am very happy with the ... have kept my feet warm and dry here in cold Germany. I am hoping ... continue to get more comfortable!
You will definitely draw attention! I bought these ... so that in the snow or cold rain my feet would stay dry and warm. These ... fill the bill perfectly! However, the foot bed is very large and wide and I feel cumbersome in them especially while I'm driving. These ... NOT for running around town! My Uggs are my comfort ... - these are strictly for those bad weather days!!
Not what I expected...I sent them back I saw this ... so excited to get it. It seemed like it was exactly what I needed to stay warm & dry in cold & snowy weather, plus they looked so stylish. What I didn't like about the look of the ... once I received them was that the front toe area was very wide and large looking....larger than any other ... type that I've purchased. Other than that, it looked just like in the picture. I probably would have dealt with that if the ... comfortable, but it wasn't. When I walked in it the back (a little above my ankle) was pushing into my leg, which was very uncomfortable. Plus, the ... itself was very heavy. I wasn't sure if I would keep them or not, but as soon as I took them off I put a pair of Merrell ... compared the comfort and lightness of those to the Sorels I knew that I'd be foolish to keep them. It was a disappointment to send them back since I was so excited when I ordered them. Also, they do run about a half size big, so keep that in mind when ordering.
