warm and lightweight
These boots were used for a Colorado ski trip. They are lightweight and not bulky at all yet kept his feet warm and dry. I would have to agree with the other reviewers about the size. I ordered a full size larger and they fit snug. I think for these shoes, you should go 2 full sizes larger.

Only winter ... son will need!
Really happy with these boots for my sons. I bought the black pair for my 7yr old. They are now all that he will wear! Rain, snow (2feet of it!), or just a sunny cold winter day...they are really all he needs. I bought the camo ones for my 4 yr old and though he loves them also, he has a little difficulty tightening the cord at the top of them by himself. I fear he may rip it off, so I have to do it for him. No big deal other than I had hoped he could put these on all by himself in a quick fashion. Seem very durable and remarkably lightweight. Both of my boys say they are super comfortable! I do recommend getting a full size larger. Love the cute box and card Piperlime ships in!

Great ...
The coolest thing about these boots is that they are super light weight, not like the old clunky snow boots. My son has sensory issues (which makes clothes irritating to his skin)and these are so comfortable he wears them around the house like slippers.

These boots are a little lighter in weight than I expected and a little thinner feeling that I thought they would feel. My son who is 5 LOVES them though. They seem to keep his feet warm. He even wore them on Halloween with his Storm trooper costume, he liked them so much. I love they way they look and the quality seems good. They are super easy to get on and off. After reading the other reviews, I decided order them a size bigger than his actual size and am happy I did. I could have ordered them in his size but I think they probaby would've just fit.

Boys Northface boots
Love the boots but need to exchange them for a size 3. My son is normally a 1 1/2 and the size 2 was way too small. Hopefully the 3 will not be way too big!

unsatisfied
My son didn't quite like these boots he's only worn once since I received them. The ... short in height therefore causing the ... slide out or off as my son tried to walk in them. Overall he's just not very happy with them. He plans not to wear them anymore. : ( Money unworthly spent.

Disappointment
As much as love North Face these shoes were a big disappointment. I don't understand why all the sizes do not have the clip on the laces to keep them tight. Love them on the North Face sandals we have & my son doesn't have to fiddle w/ keeping his laces tied. The laces are the kind that don't stayed tied when beginner shoe lace-tyers are doing the tying. Also 2 weeks after wearing them the rubber on the front toe is separating from the shoe. I would not recommend.

Nice shoe, however runs wide
I bought these for my son cause he needed a shoe for this time of year. He wears Uggs and North Face boots and needed some regular shoes for the winter. These shoes look great and easy to put on, however run wide. My son has a narrow foot so these didn't work for him.

Fit well, but falling apart after a week
These shoes fit as expected, but the quality is not what I expected from a North Face product. After one week of indoor wear the sole began peeling from the toe of one shoe. Super glue fixed it, but I don't think that I should have to be fixing shoes a week after purchasing them. Also, the black decorative accents on the heel portion "peeled" off of both shoes. Maybe we just got a bad pair... but I would not purchase these again.
