Perfect!! SO happy with these. I just returned the ... Eden Peaks because they were extremely narrow in the foot and calf, ordered these instead--and I LOVE THEM! I got five compliments on these before I sat down at my desk today. Also, it was about 3 degrees Fahrenheit out when I left for work this morning, and with a normal pair of socks, my feet were totally comfortable during my bus commute and going out for lunch. They're stable in ice and snow, but the heel makes them dressy enough for work. They are wide enough in the foot and wide enough in the calf to wear over jeans, but would look great under a skirt too. I'm thinking I'm gonna have to buy a pair in brown as well! One warning I did order a half size bigger than I usually wear in Merrells, based on my experience with the other pair, and they're perfect.
A+ These are the best boots I have ever owned. I have worn Borns, Danskos, Indigo by Clarks, etc, and have never loved a pair of boots like these. The wedge heel is super easy to walk -- you get the look of the heel without the staggery bird walk that some ... give you. The leather is gorgeous, and best of all, the bottom is truly nonsliip. I walk to work in Northern Michigan where we already have lots of snow and slop, and I have not slipped yet. As a teacher, I am on my feet all day and do not experience foot fatigue in these. There was no break in period either -- comfy right out of the box! You will not regret buying these boots. They are a bit expensive, but with Merrells, you truly get what you pay for.
Stylish and Practical As far as the fall boots look goes, I think I found the perfect pair. ... one of my fave brands for quality, comfortable ... pair does the brand justice and more. Great stylish craftsmanship, fits true to size, and you can walk for miles in these boots and still have a spring in your step (Merrell's wedge is ideal). Best paired with skirts/dresses - maybe over skinny jeans or leggings - would be tight fit under jeans/pants. Plus the detail at the top of the boots should be shown off not concealed - slightly rugged yet stylish!

True Love I love my new Tetra Launch ... Boots. I have never in my life spent this kind of money on one pair of shoes, but they are worth every penny. The size fits true, however I have to wear them with thin socks, as gym socks are too thick to get my foot into the boot. The buttons are a great touch and I like that they are shorter than a knee high, but not as short as an ankle boot. Would look great with tights and a skirt. I get lots of complements on them. Wore them in the rain yesterday and they still look great. If you're worried about buying online, go try them on at [@]or somewhere local, then buy from Piperlime using a promo code they will likely email you when you sign up for their mailing list. I got the best price around doing this. Great boots that should last me for years to come.
Great Day shoe! I sometimes have a hard time bc I have long toes and am between a half and whole says. I stayed with the half and they fit perfectly. I also have back problems and am on my feet a LOT, and I find that I can walk forever in these ... total comfort. They also look really cute with jeans tucked in or with a dress and tights. I always get compliments, my feet stay dry and I don't have to bring a change of rainboots on wet days!! I have the brown, and they get a really nice look as they wear.
Great boots! This is my second pair of ... boots this year and I love them both. They are perfect for our wet winters here in Portland. The boots look great with jeans and skirts, and they are extremely comfortable. I am on my feet all day, so it's important for me to have comfortable shoes. I would definitely recommend these boots!
Loved the brown so much I just bought the black These boots are extremely comfortable and seem very well made. Although the zipper doesn't go all the way to the sole, I don't have trouble getting my feet in. I wear size 11, medium width --and these shoes are really comfortable in every dimension. I have average calves and could maybe fit leggings, but nothing thicker, underneath (have been wearing with tights + socks to protect the tights from the top of the boots). (For comparison, I am returning some Teva Montecito boots because they fit but are narrow in the sole and have a wider calf than the Merrells.) The ... Tetra has a nice wide but not clunky foot that balances out the rest of boot and your body (great for anyone whose style includes wide leg or boot leg pants; you know the balance I'm talking about!) They look great with skirts; fine under pants. Only detraction is that they scuff really easily -- I've never had leather shoes with leather this soft. It's waterproof, but scuffs. I love them so much I'm just going to figure out a way to buff out the scuffs!

excellent product These boots are exactly what I have been looking for. The leather is soft, thick and very high quality and is a gorgeous color. In my opinion, it just looks better once it has been scuffed up a little. The cushioning and arch support are great- very comfortable to walk around in. As far as the waterproofing goes, I have yet to test these out in a storm but ... makes great products and I am confident they will be just fine. My shoe size is in between a 6 and a 6 1/2, depending on the brand, but I ordered a 6 in these and they fit perfectly (plenty of toe room). I would warn, however, against wearing thin socks with these as the back of the boot rubbed uncomfortably against the back of my ankle when I did. When I wore normal thickness athletic socks, there was no rubbing. Probably once I have worn them a few times this won't be an issue, even with thinner socks. One other comment- these boots are not knee high. On me, they came up an inch or so higher than mid calf. That said, they are absolutely gorgeous boots and I have gotten many compliments so far! Highly recommended
Amazingly comfortable boots I am a teacher and I stand up all day. I also have bunions that have gotten very bad recently. I wear my ... Tetra Launch boots with Superfeet insoles and they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. They are also very warm and cute with jeans and skirts. I also have a pair of ... Plaza Peak boots. I read the reviews and went up a size, which was a mistake. These Tetra Launch boots are much more comfortable and stylish than the Plaza Peaks, and I am so glad that I bought them.
Great, comfy & stylish I have been looking for a long time for stylish but comforable boots to wear with short skirts/leggings. I have small feet (size 5) and usually have really slim choices when it come to shoes. My feet although small, are not narrow, so this makes it even more complicated to go shoe shopping. I narrowed down my choices to this model and the ... Spire Peak Waterproof which are a little bit taller. The Tetra Launch style is more comfortable in my opinion. than the Spire Peak. The inner lining in the Spire Peak is very stiff which causes it to poke you a bit as you are walking and the the boot bends at the ankle. The Tetra Launch on the other hand has really soft, pliable leather which conforms to your legs much better and doesn't bunch up at the ankle. That said, the opening at the ankle is a bit small and does require wiggling your foot in and out for a bit to get them on/off. I am assuming that with time the leather will stretch a bit and this will get easier.
Cute but a little chunky Boots were cute, but the toe box was a little too wide for the more feminine look I was going for. They were also a little short for tall boots. Ordered a full size larger than I wear in flats without socks and they fit well with a little extra room for inserts or thick socks. Also fit my calves just fine (I have huge calves). Have other cute shoes to wear with casual so I returned them for the ... Spire Peaks which are a little dressier for the skirts I needed a tall boot for.
Cute but didn''t work for me I was so bummed, because they boots are super cute and seemed like they would go with everything. I liked that they are not as high on the calf as most other styles. I apparently am right in btw two sizes with ... 8, I probably could have made work, but there was a lot of bagging at the ankle and I didn't like that....then the 7.5 fixed the ankle problem but was too small in the foot. So they had to go back. I will say the style is super cute and the footbed is very comfy, so if you can wear Merrell's get them!
