Wonderful riding boot
I purchased these in black last year and am still wearing them today! They are such a classic riding boot - Ralph ... did well with these. Fits TTS. I am 5'0 tall and the top of the size 5.5 boot hits right below my knee. My coworker has them in the brown and she loves them too!

Boots that will Last
I love my new riding boots from Ralph ... had my eye on these for quite some time and finally bit the bullet and bought them. It was money well spent as they are durable, comfortable and stylish! In fact I have been thinking about purchasing them in black too. I would definitely recommend these boots to anyone and everyone!

They remind me of hipwaders
I purchased two pair of these in brown and black. They certainly look like great boots, and Ralph ... has earned its reputation with me. Unfortunately they fit great with the exception of the very top of the calf where it acted like a turnicate. I will admit that I have larger than average calves though, so don't let this stop you. The soles are black rubber with sort of a workman's boot tire tread pattern, someone else described them as rainboots if I recall correctly. I would recommend these classic looking boots though. Very stylish.

Happy with purchase
I'll admit I'm a sucker for the Ralph ... label, but I was not disappointed. The brown leather was good quality and will look even better over time. Sizing was perfect, they're very comfortable and will not need to be broken in. I am 5'8" and have long legs, so the only knock on them is that the 15" shaft seems too short for me. If the shaft was slightly higher, maybe 16-17" - then they'd be perfect.

Not what I expected
While this boot is very nice looking, as one would expect from Ralph ... found that it was not as it appears in the photograph. The boot is much shorter than I expect from a knee high boot. It is a few inches shorter in the shaft than other boots I've had which, for me, looked funny with jeans tucked in. The leather shaft also felt much flimsier than other leather boots I've owned, and I did not find the leather flaps covering the zipper to be particularly attractive, They are also very flimsy and noticeable when looking at the boot straight on. I love the shape the of the toe box, but overall, they were not what I wanted.

Ralph ... Stara
I was really excited about these boots because I've been wanting a pair of riding boots, and in this dark chocolate color. I didn't read the reviews til after I had made the purchase because I was soo excited about them, that I forgot. When I read the reviews, I kept seeing comments about bunching at the ankles on some of the reviews. I was really worried about that while waiting for the delivery. When I opened the box, they were gorgeous.. the perfect look and everything - color, material, comfort of the sole.. But to my dismay, the bunching was true. Standing perfectly still in them, you wouldn't think they'd bunch, that badly at least. BUT, they did!! I was super sad having to put them back into the box and sealing them up for the return. I just hope that Ralph ... fix this problem for the future remake versions so I can buy them the way they are meant to be. Good Luck future buyer.

Bad Quality
I was really excited about these boots. I thought they would fit very big at the calf and have a great asymmetrical shape... like the picture. Being Ralph ... expecting some level of quality. However, the boot fit very tight, was shiny and cheap looking and did not have the same shape as the picture. My black boot search continues.

Not worth it
I barely had the second boot on before I knew these were going back. For Ralph ... boots, let alone [$](at the time) Ralph ... boots these were poor quality and not worth the price. I would not have paid $60 for these boots. They are incredibly cheap looking and are actually a flatter boot than they appear online. It looked like a rain boot more than a riding boot. The search continues...

Real riding boots would never have a zipper inside. It would eat the skin off of your legs as you ride. Ralph ... Company should know this. Yet again proof that RL cares nothing about women as people. Just the way they look!
