I''m in love If I'm going to spend as much money on footwear as I do on groceries for two weeks, I want to make sure the shoes are near perfect or better. I was nervous about buying shoes online when I've never tried them on, so I went to the nearest store that sold Frye boots and tried on a similar pair. I have to say, it was the most helpful thing I did. Normally I wear about a 7.5 and occasionally an 8. I decided to get an 8 from Piperlime since they seemed to run small in the store. The toe box is much shorter than other styles of Frye boots (which was actually what I was looking for) and the shaft hits an inch or so below mid calf. When I made the commitment and bought the boots, I was stupidly excited to see them at my door. But when I put them on, I found them to be a bit looser in the instep than I would have liked. Fearing I made a mistake, I called a dealer for advice. Many of the reviews on here say they take time to 'break in' and 'stretch out,' which is really code for "I got huge blisters but I love them now!" ... supposed to be a loose fitting boot. The dealer's advice was to put in a pair of insoles. Best. Advice. Ever. They fit perfectly now. And after wearing them for two weeks, I haven't yet had a blister and don't think I'll see one in the future. Beautiful deep brown color, incredible quality leather, trustworthy name, and a great style. Buy these boots!
Love these boots! I love these boots. I've looked for years for a pair of boots that will fit my large calves, and these are very roomy. It takes a few wearings to break them in, but now I can wear them all day. I'm saving up for another pair of Frye boots!
