Expect the unexpected in these shoes... Thank you so much Frye for making such an incredible shoe. They're super cute and unique... made with such fine attention to detail ... made with such great materials... very well made... good quality... fits true to size... fits comfortably on the feet. What else can you ask for? The leather smell wears away. I will say the height difference is pretty dramatic! And it does take some getting used to. I wear them in the office, but if I try to walk down the street I get insecure, because I get vertigo and then I feel like I may spin out of control and fall on my rear. Walking on cobblestone and brick side walks will undoubtedly take more practice, but I'm enjoying these hot puppies. I've never owned a pair of shoes like this before. I ordered the nude color so it really does give the illusion of having superlong legs. I was relieved to learn that I did not walk funny in them, you just kinda roll with it. Bonus: I've been receiving a lot of attention, compliments and unexpectedly these ... demand a lot of respect. Nobody dares to mess with such a tall woman :) These will last forever and it is so worth the money.
Great fit, strange walk Loved the look, fit and feel of this ... leather is supple, neutral color is flattering and the style isn't 'typical' of most wedges. Though it's easy to walk in these ... since the rise (height of the heel) is low, my gait was unsightly. Because the sole of the ... turns up at the toe, you end up clunking and clicking as you back foot pushes off when walking. I don't know if I explained that clearly, but it's not a smooth, quiet or graceful stride. I have many pairs of wedges and don't have this problem with those.
A little disappointed. I am what you would call a "Frye shoe fanatic!' But with these, I love the look, not happy with the fit. Although the length is right on, the width was too wide, causing these beautiful ... too loose, and could cause me to hurt myself, potentially. I had to send them back. Even though, I love the way the shoe looks, it's not worth hurting my back over. This doesn't mean I will quit buying my beloved Frye's, though.
