Love these boots! These boots are absolutely perfect! I've been searching for a good pair of simple black boots like this for some time and FINALLY committed to these after all the rave reviews that they have been getting and I am so glad they did! They are super comfortable! look great with dresses, jeans, tall socks. I'm even considering getting the brown pair too!

These boots rockI am very happy with these boots! I usually wear a 7.5 and they fit true to size but if you want to wear thicker socks, I would get a half size larger, I bought the dark brown and love the color. The side zip is handy and the boots seems to be great quality except the laces, but who cares!

Love! Love! Love!Did I mention I love these boots!!! I had tried these on in a local mall after being convinced by a salesclerk that these boots would look great on me, regardless that I was over 50. I was hesitant at first but then fell in love with them. So comfy, cute and versatile. They look great rolled down as well (although I had to color over the sizing with black felt so it would not show) I was so upset that they did not have a pair in my actual size so quickly went online to seek out a pair. Piperlime had them and they were acutally $35 less! I quickly placed my order and received them 5 days later! Love!

loves itgot these after considering for a year in the cognac - fantastic flat ... option. very comfortable but very polished. highly rec.

Love these boots! These boots were better than expected! They look great, fit well and are comfortable. They are true to size. The leather is just right, not to stiff or to light. I bought the brown boots and really liked the color. I am thinking about buying a black pair.

My New Go To ... I purchased these boots in black, for the more "combat ... look. I must say, I am impressed. For the price, they are perfect! They are super comfortable and very stylish with just about every outfit. Since I got them two weeks ago, I've worn them about 7 times! Skinny jeans, tights, dresses...so chic! And they're flat so they are never uncomfortable. They would even be perfect for an outdoor party, camping or festival. My boyfriend hates when I wear masculine looking things, but even he likes these!! lol Most definitely my new go to ... fall.. :D

Love this ... I LOVE this ... So trendy, so cute, so versatile. I've been searching for a flat black ... since last season when I realized that I only had a flat brown one. I found these on the site after seeing them on a blog and ordered post haste. I cracked them up nervously when they arrived, not really knowing what to expect given the reviews. Would I think they looked cheap (I'm an admitted shoe snob)? Would they fit (some said the fit was a little off)? Would they look as cute as they did online (we all know that story)? I was pleasantly surprised as I saw that my fears were for naught! I've received so many compliments on them the three times I've worn them - from peers as well as my daughter's friends who see me as the "cool mom" :-). The only reason I did not give a perfect 5 is because they do seem a little narrow, but the leather seems rather forgiving and I sense that it will stretch the bit that I will need. For the price point and what you get, I don't think you could possibly be disappointed.

Great for small calves and anklesI got these boots in black. They are true to size and very versatile. You can lace or zip them. I put them on, laced them to where I wanted and now just use the zipper. The only issue is that it is small in the ankle which makes it harder to get your foot into the ... am happy that the ankle is small otherwise I really don't like it when there is extra room in that area, it looks and feels bad. I still have room to fit a pair of jeans in the boots and I am sure if you have slightly larger calves you can still make it work by loosening the laces. I should mention that the boots came up a little higher than I expected initially. I think I was looking at too many different pairs and most were shorter than these. You can get a little bunching at the top of the ... if you wear jeans that aren't snug down to your ankle. I don't mind it though. I would not recommend these boots to someone with large ankles. They do start to look distressed after frequent wear but it works with the style of these boots (at least in black). Happy shopping!

Great BOOTS!These boots are just what I was looking for. The zipper on the side is perfect for making sure your skinny jeans squeeze right in. I have the cognac so they match with almost everything. These boots are VERY narrow so you have to wear thin socks with them- even if you really loosen the laces. Still, they are the perfect boots with dresses and jeans! I love them!

surprisingly comfortablethis shoe definitely runs on the small side - I am normally an 8, but the 8 was so narrow through the toe box that when I put socks on and stood in the ... could feel all my toe bones jammed together and could envision the pain that my little toes would suffer if I attempted to wear my usual size. However, an exchange for a half size up seems to have totally solved the issue. And, these boots are surprisingly comfortable! I have a busy life and spend most days running from one place to another, on pavement and in the country, lots of walking around - and I can say, these boots were comfortable from day one (in a half size up). Maybe they will surprise me with how well they wear also :) All in all, not a bad pair of boots for the price - decently functional and not bad looking.

Visually, the boots were fine - very cute with jeans. However, I was concerned that the soles seemed a little low quality. They were very slippery and looked like a material that would have issues rather quickly. Additionally, I had a lot of trouble getting into these boots and was concerned that forcing my foot in over and over again would damage the heel area on the interior. For the price, I decided they weren't worth it and returned them.

Finally!!I have been looking for the perfect pair of congac riding boots for 2 years and I finally found them. The key for me was sizing down a half size. I almost always wear an 8 which is the size I originally ordered for these. When I recieved them I loved the boots but they felt too clunky and they were too tall. I was really disappointed because I knew these were the boots I wanted but I didn't think they were going to work for me. I decided to go ahead and try the 7.5 since piperlime is great with returns but luckily they were perfect. I recieved my boots in November and love them even more today!

Classic Frye ... I just purchased these boots, have only worn them once and already I have received multiple compliments on them. True to Frye's style, these boots will be sure to be a classic in my wardrobe. I own multiple pairs of Frye boots and they just get better with age. These are a great investment and a pair of boots you will wear for many seasons to come!

Another Amazing Pair of Frye BootsI had been looking for the perfect pair of black boots forever, and I had always loved the Frye Paige Riding boots, so after searching forever (and trying not to get another pair of Frye's since I already own 3 pairs), I realized that Frye's were my favorite for a very good reason and that the Paige boots would be the way to go. These boots are AMAZING. I have very thin calves so I was slightly worried since some reviewers were commenting on how the boots were great for big calves, but since the ... very structured and sturdy, it doesn't make the ... slouch at all. It is so hard to find black boots that do not look like combat boots or hooker boots, but these fit the bill. Plus, I love the lack of hardware with ... detailing instead, so that they are not entirely plain but still do not clash with any metals.

Worth every pennyI purchased these boots a week ago and I cannot wait for fall to get here so I can wear these boots. I ordered a size 9 and they fit me perfectly. I have very narrow feet and was surprised how well the boots fit my feet. If you have wide feet I'm not sure if these would work for you. Also when taking the shoes out of the box them came in, everything was packaged so nicely and the boots smelled wonderful, haha, and the quality is like nothing I have owned before. Fantastic, a staple in my wardrobe for years to come.

LOOOOVE these bootsI tried these boots on in forest green at my local Nordstroms, and then proceeded to look for a better deal on them, in black (I love the green, but it isn't practical for me). I have had these boots now for about 2 months (since December) and love them to pieces. Most Frye's have a long break in period, but these were comfortable from the start. They are still a bit difficult to get on and off, but it is manageable. I wear a size 7 in these boots, where typically I wear a 7.5 (EU 38), but the fit is very comfortable. I am not sure if maybe the ... circumference varies with the ... size, but I have very skinny legs, about a 12 - 13" calf, and these boots (because they come up to just below my knee) do not appear, or feel or even appear to be too large for my skinny legs. If you are considering buying these boots, DO IT. I love them and get tons of compliments, and as always, you can't beat Frye quality.

Great ... Iv'e been wanting a black flat ... seems like everything either had gold or silver buckles and it was hard to match with my handbags. However, this ... amazing. It fits great and the ... soft and durable. It seems pricey but at least your buying real genuine ... lasts. I am a true 7.5 and I bought a 7.5 and they fit perfectly. I didnt want to go half a size up cause ur heel starts coming up from the back which causes blisters so FYI stick to it fitting exact without leaving much room which most people tend to do with boots.

Frye Paige Tall RidingLove my new Frye Paige Tall Riding boots. They were hard to get on and off at first, but the more I wear them the easier it gets. These particular boots do not have the wax shine that the Frye Paige boots have on Frye's company site. I will have these boots forever. A great investment.

Cute and CasualThese boots are great! I had been needing a new pair of black boots for a while, and these caught my eye. I'm usually hesitant to purchase boots/shoes online because you never know how they're going to fit, but these worked out great! I'm usually either an 8 or 8.5. At first wanted to order an 8.5 because I feel like boots can be difficult to get your foot in if they're on the smaller side, and because I also do not have the thinnest calves in the world. When I saw that the 8.5's were on backorder until Jan I decided to give the 8's a shot. I'm so happy I did! They fit great and I even have a little extra room around my claves, which is great if I want to tuck a pair of skinny jeans into them. They are a little bulkier than I expected, which makes them more casual, but they are still really cute! I've already gotten multiple compliments on them!

They''re worth itLike a lot of people who have bought these boots, I was hesitant to shell out the extra money for them, but I've also been looking for the perfect brown flat boots for multiple seasons now, with nothing that struck me, until now. I got them in Cognac, size 9, which is what I generally wear for most shoes. They fit well -- don't size down. You'll regret it. I thought I might consider putting insoles in them, but it feels too tight when I do that. I also didn't run into the issue of having trouble pulling them on or off, like many others seemed to. As for the look and feel -- the ... looks rich, substantial and 'not cheap'. You can tell these boots are the real deal and will last forever. The shaft height is perfect, ending right below my knee (I am 5'8"). I admit, they are a tiny bit stiffer than I'm used to with boots out of the box, but I imagine a lot of it has to do with the fact that they're riding boots with thicker ... than average. I assume that will improve over time, as they've been breaking in gradually over the last couple weeks I've had them. The only reason I didn't give these 5 stars, vs. 4 is that my pinky toes get a little irritated after a day of wearing them. Not sure what that is about. Other than that, I love these and find them pretty stylish and comfortable. I don't regret the expense one bit.

It''s stylish. fullstop.I have been eyeing on this ... months, sadly couldn't locate it from Frye's AD near my hometown. I am a bit concerned about the width & size as many reviewers advise to order a half size down; calves look too big, etc. My normal size is 7 or 7.5 & I order the latter , since I have quite flat & wide feet and I don't want to have a hard moment to pull them on. It's the right choice: the size fits perfectly & the width is just right. Just order it, you won't be disappointed in Frye boots and this pair is absolutely stylish whatever you are wearing. The only drawback is the price, but I don't regret it at all :)

Disappointed...These boots are gorgeous but not for short people! I'm 5'3" and the boots are just too tall for me. They came all the way up to my knees which was not flattering or cute. I would say that anyone under 5'5'' would have the same problem. I got the boots in cognac and the ... beautiful. Boots are very nicely made. Very disappointed I had to return these!!
Frye Melissa Button
$309.99-$348.00 Rachel Zoe's pickflat boots - reviews

worth the splurgeThis is my 3rd pair of Fryes (I have the Carson riding boots and 8" Engineers). The workmanship is consistently good, the leather feels and smells great, and the fit is superb. I usually wear 7.5, sometimes 8. My Carson boots are a 7.5, and they have stretched out considerably, to the point where i need to wear thicker socks. I ordered the Melissa Button boots in 7. They were tight around the toes for the first few days, but they have started to loosen up a bit. I know they're only going to get better. Love these boots!

Love these bootsI purchased the Melissa button in distressed chocolate. They look like they are very worn in. I wasn't 100% sure that I would like that, but I didn't want smooth, shiny boots this time. I love them. The color is so dark that they go nicely with black and brown and also gray and any other color. I am 5'1" and the shaft height is perfect for me. About 1 1/2 inches below my knee. They were easy for me to put on and take off - I didn't have the same issues some have had, but I think the distressed chocolate may already be softened from the process. I bought non skid adhesive grips for the bottom and never once had an issue with sliding or slipping even though the bottoms are slick. My daughter and I went to look at other colors and the more smooth styles kind of look like rain boots at first, but the distressed don't. I'm sure the vintage style would not either. I was very nervous to spend so much on one pair of boots - I'm frugal. But these boots are such a classic style and so well made, I'm sure I will wear them for the rest of my life. I love how they look. I wasn't sure I was a boots and dress type of girl, but I am with these boots! I kept looking at other boots in the $150-$200 range and nothing grabbed me like these did.I don't regret spending the money, and bought these during a 20% off sale, which did help a little. Go for it!

Best riding ... ever! The Melissa Button ... my favorite riding ... ever. Yes, they are pricey but these boots are an investment piece. Frye boots will last a lifetime. I have owned a pair in black for two years now and just recently got the cognac. I am excited every fall when I can get these boots out of my closet. I live in Texas, so weather permitting I can't wear these year round. I would highly recommend these boots. I normally wear a 10 in Frye shoes but these run a half size small so I wear a 9.5. You won't regret purchasing these boots. They are totally worth the money!

Love, love these bootsIt is strange that I bought these boots in two colors. I bought the black in the extended calf and bought the distressed in regular. I have worn the distressed once and everyone who saw me commented on them. Yet I have worn the black many times and just a few. I love them both.Obviously I can tuck more into the extended calf and was afraid when I received the distressed they wouldn't fit. A little tight with a skinny jean legging but I love them anyhow. Good quality and actually not uncomfortable given most flat boots are hard on the sole. Sized up one half size when purchasing the distressed!!

I''m in LOVE with these boots!I got these on the recommendation of a friend - I didn't even think they'd be the ones I'd keep. Then I took them out of the box. First I saw the color (I got the cognac, which is gorgeous) and then, I felt the leather. Let's face it, a lot of people don't have a ton of money to spend, or you save or make a good excuse to spend more on something. I'm a pretty decent Cole Haan addict, and even with the boots I have from there, I looked at these and thought, really, this much for boots? Let me just say, they're totally worth it. These are the boots that you'll wear in to that perfectly cool, worn in stage where they feel like a piece of you. The kicker is, they're that comfortable within the first hour of putting them on. The leather molds to your feet, they're the perfect calf width so you can wear skinny jeans inside but still wear ... cut on top. And even with my super long legs, the height is fantastic. Seriously, the first night out in these boots, a stranger on the street stopped me to ask what they were and where she could get them. Yes, they're that good. I hesitated at first telling people this, but seriously, I have been looking for this ... few years at this point so just bite the bullet, pay for them and start your lifelong love now. The only remaining question for me is if I can justify having them in more than one color...

Love them- worth the price! If you are reading this, it means you are seriously debating ordering these boots. I want to tell you, DO IT! You won't regret it. I ordered the Melissa button ... black hoping for a nice, timeless yet hip black ... winter. I wanted something that wasn't too matronly and buttoned up, that I could wear with skinny jeans, leggings, and short dresses. Maybe a bare leg if the weather was nice. :) I also ride horses and don't want to spend the money for riding boots so these will be great for that too- and there is nothing like a little horse poo to make your boots look even more lived in and loved! :) I have always loved the style of the Frye campus but it is a little too biker chic for my everyday need or wearing to work. So I ordered Melissa and I wasn't disappointed! These boots arrived and it was obvious they were a great quality product. Very thick, supple leather, heavy yet flexible and I just know they will wear wonderfully once they are broken in! And the smell! Oh, heavenly! I keep getting whiffs of it and I just smile. :) As for sizing, I am usually a 7 but as most reviewers suggested, I bought a 6.5 and immediately one went on easily. The other one was a little tighter and I had to use the plastic bag trick (I think one of my feet is larger than the other- it wasn't a flaw with the ... They were comfortable right off the bat and didn't rub or squeeze too much with a thin sock and jeans on. I should mention that I have an impossibly high instep and the first night I got them, I wore a thicker sock with my skinny jeans and I could feel the tightness in my instep, but today I wore tights and they were great all day. I am a petite 5'2', 115 with thin calves and the tops of the boots are nicely snug so if you have any concerns about your calf width, try the extended calf. Usually high boots like these are baggy on me but these fit well at the top, although by the ankle there is ample room. I love these and can't wait to wear them for years to come!!!!!!!

Best boots everThese are my first Frye boots and will not be the last. The boots are a little narrow but the leather will stretch out soon. I have only worn them twice. Some people were mentioning that if you have a high arch the boots would be hard to get in, not true. I have a higher arch than most people and the boots slide right in. My usual size is between 9 or 9 1/2, I ordered the 9 and it fit perfectly. Another issue is the calf - my calves are 14.5 inches and I still have plenty of space to fit skinny jeans and leggings definitely not an issue. These boots are gorgeous - I got them in cognac. The only issue I have with the boots is they scuff very easily, i guess it adds to the character of the ... buy the wax Frye sells to protect them.

ClassicI've been shopping for a pair of classic flat boots and this one fits the bill perfectly. I bought cognac and it's a beautiful light brown color, yet rich and goes well with all my outfits. It looks great with dress and leggings and skinny jeans as well. I have normal size calf and it fits me perfectly, not tight, and just enough room for skinny jeans, but doesn't leave much space for anything else. I wanted to wait for sale but [...]This one is totally worth the investment.

Gorgeous "Extended Calf Tall" Boots!I got super super excited when I saw that these boots were extended calf. I wouldn't say I have huge calves. But for some reason Frye thinks "normal" calves are a 13.5" circumference. Apparently I'm not supposed to have any muscle on my legs at all. Well sorry. I do. So these are great! They are incredibly comfortable. The only weird thing about these boots are there is an extra bit of room right at the back of the lip of the ... Maybe for someone with really curvy calves? And so taking that as a clue I dont think these boots are meant to go up to the knee, but about 3" below the knee... I'm 5'5" and they do not extend up to my knee. If I was a bit taller these boots would be going back. But luckily, it still fits me and i love my other Frye booties so YIPPEEE I now have tall(ish) Frye boots!

Beautiful, but not for us leggy gals...These are beautiful, top notch quality boots. The leather is wonderful. They fit comfortably. The shaft is slim enough to not look to loose on thin calves, but not so slim that it's too tight on average calves (like mine). My foot also slipped in and out easily, which was a pleasant surprise. No troubles there! Like most Frye boots, they run a little large, so plan on going down about a half size if you're planning to wear them with thick socks and a full size if you're going to wear them with thin socks. The only complaint I have with these boots is that the shaft is not tall enough. I'm 5'8" with fairly long legs (I'd say on the longer side of average), and the shaft was just too short. There is a slight curve to the back of the ... should follow the curve of your calf, but for me, the curve in the ... too low, and it just looked goofy. I'm disappointed because I have been admiring these boots for a couple of years, but I guess it just was not meant to be.

Just lovely, but Fryes run huge. (Long review because I think such a high price warrants knowing details of what you''re buying!)I wish I could give these a 4.5 - the appearance is nearly perfect, but all Frye boots have fit/sizing quirks that sort of get on my nerves. If they were cheaper, this would be excusable, but for the price, those quirks warrant a 4. If you're reading the reviews, you probably want to know about those negative or unexpected aspects before spending over $300, so I'll mention those first (but that doesn't mean that the positive doesn't outweigh the negative or that I would change much about these boots). I'm still keeping them, and it was still worth it [...]. NOT SO-GOOD: 1. The soles seem relatively durable (some Frye boots have thinner soles than I like), which is nice, but lots of Fryes have pretty smooth bottoms, so be careful with them on slippery surfaces when they're new - the traction will be questionable until you scuff up the soles yourself a bit. 2. Like with all Frye boots I've tried on, it was tough to get my foot to fit through the ankle of the ... but the pull tabs help a ton. (Getting them off is even harder, but it's worth it. I think that aspect of the fit prevents you from interrupting this really smooth leather silhouette with zippers or gores while making for a good, stable fit once they are on.) 3. Along the same lines, I have pretty average calves - not tiny, but I rarely have trouble with any boots not fitting over them - and I never need a wide shaft ... but these come close to being too tight (just barely enough space to cram jeans in with no room left over), so if your calves are bigger, you may not like these. 4. Most important to know: the sizing. I wear an 8 in almost every flat or heel, an 8-8.5 in most boots (sometimes need extra sock room) and 8.5-9 in running shoes. The 8 in Fryes leaves at least an inch between my big toe and the end of the shoe (even with moderately thick socks). I have a 7.5 in these and it's still quite roomy in the toe box - I could go smaller if I had narrow feet and skinny calves, but if I went down more with my foot shape the midfoot would be super tight. I'm sticking with the 7.5 and there will be nice room for socks and toe wiggling... and maybe insoles because arch support in Fryes isn't great (but then again my extreme over pronation makes me picky). (They might add some of this extra toe room intentionally - I think I'm used to less since modern shoes, especially nice women's shoes, tend to love the narrow toe box, which is what we're all used to, but in the end it's better for your feet if your toes can spread naturally and aren't crammed up against anything.) Now for the really GOOD aspects: 1. Like all the Frye boots I've seen, these have beautiful leather. It looks like you could never wear it out. I have the Fawn color, and I love it. I didn't want a high polish appearance; I wanted a soft looking (but not super distressed) brown, medium dark, and that's exactly what I got. It's not a very warm brown - there's an underlying dark greyish hue - but I like that because the color is really neutral while still being attractive on its own. Perfect and will match about anything. 2. The simple silhouette is really nice (if you, like me, are not a huge fan of cowboyish or overly rugged-and chunky silhouettes). 3. Short girls like me, take note: I'm not quite-5'4" and not leggy (~30 inch inseam), and there are many beautiful knee high Frye ... styles that I can't wear at all because the shaft comes all the way to the middle of my knee. The perfect flat ... I'm addicted to these boots - I can't help it. I wanted a beautiful, versatile flat ... actually hit my knee and I've found them. I love these boots so much that I bought 2 pair - 1 in dark brown + 1 in sand. Both are to die for. The fit is perfect + yes the bottom is slippery for like 5 seconds but once you wear them outside, they're fine. I've worn them with jeans, skirts, leggings and without fail, total strangers compliment me on these exceptional boots.

Great ... I get compliments on these all the time! They are exactly what I was hoping for. A sexy ... flat heal? Its true! They look great and are well worth every penny. They are a little narrow, but with comfortable socks the ... stretching nicely and are comfortable to wear all day.

Gorgeous boots!I received a compliment on these boots the very first day I wore them! Well made, tall but not too tall and they have become my go to ... They look the best with a skinny jean or pant tucked inside! The downside is that after a full day wearing them my feet are hurting because there is just no support or cushioning and it is hard for me to wear a flat shoe of any kind without some support in the footbed. There is some extra room in them (I ordered my usual 9) but most boots fit that way - it has never caused blisters and I just wear a thin sock. I highly recommend this ...
Are these flip flops or boots? These boots are so cute, the brown ... exactly what I was looking for, the big problem was the heel, it just flopped around, major heel slip. Wearing flip flops is fine for flip flops, but not for boots. Instead of the back of the boots going in a bit at the heel area to keep ... flopping, these came straight down from the shaft giving nothing to keep the foot in place. Also, I am 5'10 and slim, but big boned, meaning my calves are not fat, but are bigger then the average women's, and even with straight leg jeans tucked in they were huge, and flopping around. So sad, these are adorable ... if they could adjust the fit I would've bought one in every color.

However these hit just where they should! Yay! (Also good for short girls who want knee high Fryes - the Shirley Riding ... [not the over knee Shirley, but the knee high one with two buckles] which has a top that is made so that it can be cuffed down to a reasonable height. (If you're tall/leggy, know that the Melissa boots will probably not come all the way up to right below your knee.) [...]

My Favorite FryesI bought these boots at the end of last winter, and they are one of my all time favorite pairs of boots. They work out of skinny jeans or under bootcut, and are extremely comfortable. I didn't find them stiff at all. The maple leather is gorgeous. I am a pretty true 8, but can go down to a 7.5 in Fryes. I did buy the 8 in these, but 7.5 probably would have worked fine too. HIghly recommend these boots.

Great mid calf bootsI purchased these boots because I wanted something between 'high boots' and cowgirl boots, and they are perfect. I agree with another review that the ... fits loosely in the ankle/leg, but I don't think this is unusual for shorter/mid calf ... styles. I have thin ankles and calves, and I like the roominess for comfort and a more casual style. I purchased the dark brown, which has a slightly worn in feel out of the box - nice! I am a size 8.5-9 med width, and Frye boots in a 9 are perfect. The Heath ... fits more like a cowgirl ... slight amount of slip in the heel. Bottom line, if you want a versatile ... less aggressive than an engineer, harness, or cowgirl style and lower than a typical full calf style, this is your ... Worth the money!Frye boots are one of the best made boots ever. I have had many pairs of Frye boots and loved every pair. Compared to the Frye Campus ... style runs a little narrow in the toe box. The leather will give and break in with wear. I would recommend sizing up if your foot is wide.

They fit true to size. I own about I don't know how many boots from various companies and I love them all, but the Frye Heath tops them all. They are the best pair I have now. My feet never get tired and I recommend them to everyone who likes boots. Look no further, because if you buy these you are all set. Congrats to Frye.

Frye Heath Outside zipThese boots ROCK! I ordered my normal size, 8, fit perfect. Would not recommend getting half size smaller. These boots are beautiful and comfortable.

Fabulous! Go for it!I was very anxious about purchasing these boots at this price. BUT, I am totally impressed. Frye boots are fabulous! The color is fantastic, the leather is soft and the style is great. I wore them ALL day yesterday and they felt great. I did order a half size smaller than normal and that proved to be very wise. Save your $$$ and buy these boots. You will be so pleased.

These are great boots. Wonderful quality. I can imagine these boots being part of your wardrobe for a long time. They just weren't what I was looking for. I didn't like the shorter height - not making it to the knee and found them too slouchy for my liking. My calves are about 14 inches and i ordered a 9 - my usual ... size. They were just right for boots. A little roomy and pretty comfortable. The only thing that bothered me was the seaming on the inside around my ankle. It was a little rough. I have very narrow heals so the up and down movement was bothersome. This could probably be fixed with an insole. My zipper went up and down smoothly and was good looking.

Love Love Love these bootsI've never owned tall boots in my life. I have athletic calves and they've never been able to fit into zippered, tall boots. There were some misgivings as to ordering these boots, but since Piperlime is so good about returns, I decided to order these---after a heavy research period and extensive pondering! I am ECSTATIC over these boots. They fit perfectly (I ordered my regular 8.5 size), I can wear them with thicker socks if needed, plus I can tuck jeans inside them. The leather is positively gorgeous, not to mention the finish. I highly recommend these boots, specially to those girls who have thicker calves who want a stylish look. I got these for an upcoming trip to NYC, fully expecting heavy walking and cold weather. They already feel comfortable, and am sure won't disappoint!

For the price I'm just not impressed. After trying this ... I'm surprised it's a best seller.

So sad, these are adorable ... if they could adjust the fit I would've bought one in every color.

worth the splurgeThis is my 3rd pair of Fryes (I have the Carson riding boots and 8" Engineers).

Love!

Visually, the boots were fine - very cute with jeans. However, I was concerned that the soles seemed a little low quality.
