Hello new favorite shoes These ... - in a word - fabulous. I'm so used to cute ... cutting my feet and not being comfortable to walk in for lengthy periods of time. Clearly, I had low standards that Cole Haan has just raised. These ... not only great looking, but they also are incredibly comfortable and there was no break in period. I wore them trekking all over the city and had no discomfort whatsoever. They are worth every penny and I intend to buy them in several colors.
Very cute and also Comfy! I bought two pairs of flats from piperlime, these(Maria Sharapova by Cole Haan Air Bacara) in the tan suede, and also some cheaper(under $30) Pink Studio flats. The cheaper Pink Studio flats fit my feet, however they hurt my feet SO much!! I can only wear them for about 10 minutes and thats all i can stand. I can feel sores coming on if i dont take them off. On the flip side, these Cole Haan shoes are extremely comfortable!! Wow, what a difference in ... They fit and feel like a glove, and i can wear them for hours with ease. I get lots of compliments on these flats as well. I recently bought a 2nd pair of Cole Haan's called the FLX Air Bandon, which are also EXTREMELY comfortable!! They are soft and fit like a glove as well! Ive never had a more comfortable ... now have tremendous confidence in spending the extra money on Cole Haan shoes. Also, i have very sensitive heels, and can get blisters very easy on my back ankles/heel from shoes that are not good shoes. The Cole Haan shoes that i bought do not bother my heels, and do not dig into them. I bought my true size(7.5) and i have a wide foot.
ALMOST perfect After reading some of the rave reviews of this ... could hardly wait to get them. Now, I haven't even worn them yet, but have decided to keep them. The suggestion to order up a half size was a good one- glad I did. The remarks about the toe box being skimpy were accurate- even though my shoes are long enough, I see big toe "bumps" when I look at my feet- which had me on the fence about keeping them. I have wide ish feet, and these shoes accomodate them beautifully. They really are cute as all get out I got the silver ones and love to look at them. As far as comfort- well, sure- they are flats- I expected something beyond typical, but don't see what the fuss was about there. I really got these shoes because I was looking for something comfy. stylish and versatile for traveling, and they are all that. Looking forward to wearing them coast to coast next week.
Maria Sharapova Air Bacara I had high hopes for these shoes. I wanted a pair of simple flats that had support and cushion and was willing to pay to get it. I figured that shoes designed by Nike, Cole Haan and Maria Sharapova were sure to do the trick. These shoes did not measure up, however. They are cute shoes to look at. Aaargh!!!! I wanted these shoes to work out SOOO bad!!! They are adorable, got them in the teal- so pretty and versatile. The soles are super comfy. I was willing to pay the money for these shoes because I thought they would be my go to ... can wear all day and be comfortable and stylish.... Well, I ordered my usual size, 7 1/2, and they seemed too snug. Exchanged them for an 8. Seemed OK when I tried them on. Wore them to work the next day. I park in front of my building and sit behind a computer all day- I am not running around. Unfortunately, the elastic on the back of the shoes were killing me! I could hardly stand it anymore! I wondered if I wore them a few more times if they would loosen up, but at this price I did not want to take the chance. I was soooo disappointed...
disappointed OK. I have owned 3 pairs of Cole Haan "Nike technology" shoes over the past several years and they are THE most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I have been waiting to order these new ballet flats and after they were reduced to [$]! I went for them. Even though in all of my other Cole Haan I've ordered a size 9- These were recommended by Piperlime to size up. So many reviews said the same so I went for a 91/2, THEY WERE HUGE. Wanting to make an exchange but of course size is sold out. Bummer. Not sure if Cole Haan got sloppy with this style, but not giving up just yet. On the upside, love piperlime and their service, packaging and easy return/exchange procedure. Also, really cute shoes. Love the blue heel and detail in back is really delicate and pretty. Well made and comfortable.
Not great I had been eyeing these shoes for a while, and jumped at the chance to by them when I had a coupon. I was really disappointed in the shoes. I've worn numerous paris of Cole Haan shoes over the years and have loved them, so I expected similar workmanship and design in these shoes. It turns out that the shape is not at all well thought out. As others have said, the material at the back of the ... angles too far in to your heal, and blisters are inevitable. Because the black inner strip that hits your foot is not made from a pliable material, my guess is that these won't become more comfortable over time. I ordered up a half size like others suggested, but these shoes still hurt. I'm going to return them. Totally disappointed.
My heels are killing me... These shoes are very cute, yes, but so uncomfortable! When I first tried them on, I thought they were great. It was only until I walked around the city for a while that I realized what was so wrong with them. These shoes would be so great if they just didn't put that elastic in the heel. The back ends up digging in so badly - I was bleeding after just walking for 15 minutes! I thought these would be perfect city walking flats, but I was wrong. They might be better suited for someone who doesn't have to walk as much? It's just a shame - such beautiful shoes condemned to the furthest out-of reach shelf in my closet...
