Worth every penny!
Being only 5'0", I am used to having to get even petite pants shortened most of the time. These ... no exception, as I will have to have about 4 inches taken off. However, the advantage of ordering these petite ... fading is more proportional to where my knees actually hit, and the flare is also more proportional to start at the appropriate spot. Additionally, the fit in the waist, hips, and crotch/zipper area is just right for my small frame. I have always loved Citizens of Humanity ... stretch and give that hug my curves, and these ... wonderful for that. They're not stiff at all, and they're thin enough that they don't really even feel like ... dark wash is perfect for dressing up for work or wearing out at night. Premium ... like these are worth every penny to me!

Not petite but my behind is oh so-divine!
Same as the other reviewers, these are by no means petite ... They will only work with flats if you are at least 5'4" or 5'5". I'm 5'3" and have to wear my 2" heels to keep the hems from dragging onto the floor, even so, they deserve a 5-star rating! Once again, I find myself purchasing a size 26 -- which fits me perfectly -- instead of my usual size 27. That's why I marked this particular cut big/loose in the overall fit. With heels on, they are absolutely to die for. The dark wash makes my legs look long and slim, and my behind oh so-divine! You can't go wrong with them. The price point is a bit of a splurge but you do get what you paid for!

Even better than I anticipated!
Great pair of ... had high hopes for these ... but with soooo fewww reviews I have to admit --I was a tiny bit skeptical! but as soon as I received these ... mail and tried them on --I immediately fell in love and wanted to walk out the door with them! unfortunately, I had nowhere to go.. however, these ... fit so perfectly, I can't imagine a place I wouldn't wear them to.. a nice deep dark wash that can be casual or dressed up. midrise.. a lighter weight but study feeling ... very comfortable stretch.. I'm 5'4" and they are a tad too long for flats, but perfect with heels.. according to the reviews, I guess the length varies depending on body type... you may not have the same issue if you don't have concave hips like mine.. but **attention petite girls**! --even if they are a teenyweenie longer than perfect, finding a good taylor won't do you wrong..

The rise just doesn''t fit right
I thought my problems with Citizens ... might be solved after finding that Piperlime sold them in petites (I'm 4'10"/100 pounds). But I still have the same issue -- the rise is just too high. And not because they're supposed to be high waisted. I guess I'm just not cut out to wear these ... Love my AGs instead!

Too long for petites
Love the ... especially the rinse... nice and dark! unfortunately they are way too long for a petite length. i am 5'2" and tried them on with a 2 1/2 inch heel and they still needed to be hemmed. just looked sloppy at the bottom, especially if you are going for a more tailored "dressy" look. sadly returned.

Noooo!! Why did they change!!
I purchased two pairs of Dita ... few years ago and they are my absolute favorites. I have been looking for a new pair in a darker wash for over a year, so I was really excited to find it at Piperlime. I am 5'2", 112 pounds, athletic build, and the Dita fits me like a dream! However, when I pulled my new dark wash out of the box, I could tell that they had changed! The fabric is very thin and way too stretchy. When I tried them on, I noticed that the legs were tighter while the waist was bigger. The length, as other reviewers mentioned, was way too long. After wearing them for a few hours they sag in the butt and waist and just look/seem cheap. I decided to keep them, but I'm sooo depressed that they have changed so much.

Cute ...
This is the third pair of citizens Dita petite ... have purchased and I love them! The length is perfect for flats or a small heel!

Great ... but not sure the length is petite
These ... truly beautiful. The fabric is a bit thinner than the older style, the color nice and dark. The only thing is, I don't believe that the length is truly 'petite'. I'm 5'6 and these ... great with heels. Granted, I don't have long legs but still. However, I love the fact that finally I won't have to have my ... hemmed! :) The regular size that I wear in designer ... 27 and 27P in these ... fits me nicely (they are a bit tight but since they have a bit of stretch I think that they will form nicely to my body). All in all, I highly recommend them. They make my silhouette look slim and my legs look longer. Great fit!

Love Them!!
These ... Great! I love that they come in petite as I am 5' 5". They look great with flip flops and heels! Nice dark wash, thinner ... material flatters a bigger rear :-) I actually bought another pair after I got these because I liked them so much!

Rise is a little low
Nice ... rise was just a little too low for me. But nice dark color and good length. I am 5'3" and they may have been slightly long for flip flops but definitely ok with flats.

Great ... but not petite in length
I bought these ... figuring I'd save a few bucks in hemming costs, since I hem every pair of ... buy being 5'3". But alas, they are being hemmed as I write this, probably about 3 inches worth! I am not petite in build, however, just height, so I bought the 29, as I normally wear a size 6 in regular pants. I have had two kids so the waist needs to fall at a certain area to cover the horrible "mommy" area that can interfere with a clean look when I wear pants, and it does achieve that goal for the most part. I am assuming these ... stretch as I wear them more - they are definitely not a loose pair of ... overall. I love the lighter weight denim but the darker wash. Citizens is a great brand!

The Almost Perfect ...
I bought these in my normal size to begin with, but returned them for a size bigger for more room in the thigh/knee area. I wore them for a day or two before washing them to stretch them out a bit, but found they actually stretched out a lot faster after washing. The rise is slightly lower than I expected, but it's definitely not low rise. The waist may have to be taken in, and in hindsight if I had been more patient with my normal size I might have been happier with them. The length is great, I'm 5'4". They work with both flats and heels. They don't drag on the ground either. The cut is very flattering. The wash isn't super dark, but is still very nice. They are definitely my new favorite ...

Cute
These ... great color, classic style, but I wish I would have listened to the other reviewers. The are way to long for my 5'2 frame. I also ordered my normal Citizens size and they are a little tight, but I know with time they will stretch.

Just Ok
After trying on the ... bootcut ... store I fell in love, but I needed a petite size. I ordered these but found the fabric to be lighter and not as soft. The color isn't as dark and even as I had hoped. After taking two inches off (i'm 5'51") they wear well with heels.

Not Petite Enough
I was so excited to get these ... therefore very disappointed to discover that they are not "petite enough" in the length. Normally, a 31 inch inseam is perfect for me to wear flats. However, although these are listed as having a 31 inch inseam, I needed at least a 2.5 inch heel to keep them off the floor! I was especially surprised since I am at the upper height limit of petite (5'4). It is too bad about the length because these are otherwise great ... color is beautiful and the cut is flattering. This was my first pair of Citizens and the fit was true to size as far as I could tell. I am normally a 26 in AG and Sevens (and a 25 in True Republic since they run large). I therefore went with the 26 in these and it was a perfect fit. I send them back with regret but I will not pay to have petite ... hemmed when there are lots of great TRULY petite length ... out there.

You really can't go wrong with these ... My only complaint is that they are REALLY long, so hemming them is required. Otherwise, a definite good buy. I love all my Citizens!

nice cut, dependable brand if they fit your body shape
i'm a big fan of the kelly boot cut and have a couple pairs in the same cut but different style number, i.e different denim color or wash, different back pocket detailing. one pair is 5 or 6 years old. somehow though, the sizing has changed, and i wonder if anyone else feels the same. i haven't bought a pair of citizens jeans in a couple of years, but i am 5-10 pounds heavier (and a bit wider) since that time, and i have somehow gone down from a size 30 to a size 29. not a big deal, and i'm not complaining, just a little confused since i originally ordered the wrong size for shipping. to my eye the photo resembles the actual pants in color, rise, and fit. also, the back pocket design is not too crazy or punchy, which is nice when you're not in the mood to attract too much attention to the cheeks.

Great ...
I love Citizen ... They are the only brand I will buy. I agree with a previous reviewer though, the material is ALOT thinner than my old ... still like them, but my older ... still in great shape and I'm not sure these will last as long. I wish more places sold them in petite length because I always have to get them altered which adds to the price of the ... already expensive! Worth the money though
