Finally!! I have been looking for the perfect pair of congac riding boots for 2 years and I finally found them. The key for me was sizing down a half size. I almost always wear an 8 which is the size I originally ordered for these. When I recieved them I loved the boots but they felt too clunky and they were too tall. I was really disappointed because I knew these were the boots I wanted but I didn't think they were going to work for me. I decided to go ahead and try the 7.5 since piperlime is great with returns but luckily they were perfect. I recieved my boots in November and love them even more today!
Great boots I've been eyeing these boots for a while and finally decided to go for it. They are a little stiff at first but even just walking around my apartment they are starting to soften. I had NO problem getting my foot in or fitting my calves- in fact I have room for skinnies and maybe legwarmers. I don't consider my calves skinny- but I don't normally have trouble with them fitting in boots. I am still debating getting a size smaller- I normally wear a size 8 and that's what I bought but they are a little long. On a side note: I accidentally shipped these to my old address about 2000 miles away from my new one- (middle of the night purchase and I wasn't very observant) when I realized this (5 days later) I called Piperlime and the customer service was excellent! Long story short- I got the boots and they were very understanding of the mistake I made. Very happy with them.
Another Amazing Pair of Frye Boots I had been looking for the perfect pair of black boots forever, and I had always loved the Frye Paige Riding boots, so after searching forever (and trying not to get another pair of Frye's since I already own 3 pairs), I realized that Frye's were my favorite for a very good reason and that the Paige boots would be the way to go. These boots are AMAZING. I have very thin calves so I was slightly worried since some reviewers were commenting on how the boots were great for big calves, but since the leather is very structured and sturdy, it doesn't make the ... slouch at all. It is so hard to find black boots that do not look like combat boots or hooker boots, but these fit the bill. Plus, I love the lack of hardware with leather detailing instead, so that they are not entirely plain but still do not clash with any metals.
LOVE LOVE LOVE! I have been looking for a new pair of black riding boots for quite some time now. It seems that every pair I tried on looked like fireman boots and were way too clunky and definitely not feminine! I'm glad I held out for the right pair because these are beautiful! Great quality, and the perfect height for me. (I'm 5'7", so I don't like when boots only come up to mid calf on me that are supposed to be just below the knee.) Well worth the price!
Frye Paige Tall Riding Love my new Frye Paige Tall Riding boots. They were hard to get on and off at first, but the more I wear them the easier it gets. These particular boots do not have the wax shine that the Frye Paige boots have on Frye's company site. I will have these boots forever. A great investment.
Cute and Casual These boots are great! I had been needing a new pair of black boots for a while, and these caught my eye. I'm usually hesitant to purchase boots/shoes online because you never know how they're going to fit, but these worked out great! I'm usually either an 8 or 8.5. At first wanted to order an 8.5 because I feel like boots can be difficult to get your foot in if they're on the smaller side, and because I also do not have the thinnest calves in the world. When I saw that the 8.5's were on backorder until Jan I decided to give the 8's a shot. I'm so happy I did! They fit great and I even have a little extra room around my claves, which is great if I want to tuck a pair of skinny jeans into them. They are a little bulkier than I expected, which makes them more casual, but they are still really cute! I've already gotten multiple compliments on them!
They''re worth it Like a lot of people who have bought these boots, I was hesitant to shell out the extra money for them, but I've also been looking for the perfect brown flat boots for multiple seasons now, with nothing that struck me, until now. I got them in Cognac, size 9, which is what I generally wear for most shoes. They fit well -- don't size down. You'll regret it. I thought I might consider putting insoles in them, but it feels too tight when I do that. I also didn't run into the issue of having trouble pulling them on or off, like many others seemed to. As for the look and feel -- the leather looks rich, substantial and 'not cheap'. You can tell these boots are the real deal and will last forever. The shaft height is perfect, ending right below my knee (I am 5'8"). I admit, they are a tiny bit stiffer than I'm used to with boots out of the box, but I imagine a lot of it has to do with the fact that they're riding boots with thicker leather than average. I assume that will improve over time, as they've been breaking in gradually over the last couple weeks I've had them. The only reason I didn't give these 5 stars, vs. 4 is that my pinky toes get a little irritated after a day of wearing them. Not sure what that is about. Other than that, I love these and find them pretty stylish and comfortable. I don't regret the expense one bit.
great boots! i've been eyeing these boots for awhile now and decided to finally purchase them. i don't regret purchasing the boots but definitely need to be conscious of how i wear them since they scuff easily. i also had rubber soles placed on the ... lengthen the life of the sole since they are leather. i clicked "true to size" for both sizing and width but size (i'm a 7.5) is alittle on the smaller size and width is alittle on the narrow side.
Not super impressed Ok, so I splurged and bought the paige tall riding ... cognac. They kept pushing back the delivery so I was supposed to get it in December but ended up getting today. The leather smells wonderful and is very thick. Runs true to size to slightly big. I like the length as I am 5'9". But three things I don't like: The profile shape of the base of the ... not very flattering; I mean, they start the shaft before or at my arch and about 1 and a half inches before my ankle, so that it makes my lower leg look wide from the side at the ankle, sort of like rain boots. 2) the heel is so short that I thought I would like it, being tall and all, but it is not very flattering and 3) the extra layer of leather makes the frontal view of the ... very wide, which is also not flattering--at least for me. I normally have long slender legs but these boots actually make me look shorter and chunkier, by stopping the visual line that normally runs along my legs (not good for me since this is really my main asset! Lastly, they are just not sexy or cute. So if you are looking for sexy or cute, keep looking! If you want everyday casual boots, these may work. If these were way cheaper I would keep them, but for the price I want to like them WAY more than I do! Bummer I have to send them back after waiting so long! Maybe sometime I'll try the Melissa Button boots....
Get the Melissa boots if you''re short and have narrow calves! I had my heart set on the Paige riding boots. However, I had to return them...I'm 5'2" and they overwhelmed by short legs. My calves are also narrow and the large shaft opening looked weird. I hated to do it, but I returned them. Enter the Melissa riding boots! They fit me so much better and look great on. I love the look of the Paige boots but the Melissa boots just work better given my size/frame.
worth the splurge This is my 3rd pair of Fryes (I have the Carson riding boots and 8" Engineers). The workmanship is consistently good, the leather feels and smells great, and the fit is superb. I usually wear 7.5, sometimes 8. My Carson boots are a 7.5, and they have stretched out considerably, to the point where i need to wear thicker socks. I ordered the Melissa Button boots in 7. They were tight around the toes for the first few days, but they have started to loosen up a bit. I know they're only going to get better. Love these boots!
Fabulous Boots! Like many of the other reviewers, I researched and read all the reviews on these boots because of the price. I finally purchased them in black and I love them! They fit comfortably and are true to my size (8). The boots were a little snug in the calves for the first couple of times I wore them, but they have since stretched out enough to make the fit perfect. The soles were a bit slick initially as well, but I haven't had any issues. The boots look great with a sweater dress and tights or jeans tucked in! Great for wearing all day long.
Love these boots I purchased the Melissa button in distressed chocolate. They look like they are very worn in. I wasn't 100% sure that I would like that, but I didn't want smooth, shiny boots this time. I love them. The color is so dark that they go nicely with black and brown and also gray and any other color. I am 5'1" and the shaft height is perfect for me. About 1 1/2 inches below my knee. They were easy for me to put on and take off - I didn't have the same issues some have had, but I think the distressed chocolate may already be softened from the process. I bought non skid adhesive grips for the bottom and never once had an issue with sliding or slipping even though the bottoms are slick. My daughter and I went to look at other colors and the more smooth styles kind of look like rain boots at first, but the distressed don't. I'm sure the vintage style would not either. I was very nervous to spend so much on one pair of boots - I'm frugal. But these boots are such a classic style and so well made, I'm sure I will wear them for the rest of my life. I love how they look. I wasn't sure I was a boots and dress type of girl, but I am with these boots! I kept looking at other boots in the $150-$200 range and nothing grabbed me like these did.I don't regret spending the money, and bought these during a 20% off sale, which did help a little. Go for it!
Best riding ... ever! The Melissa Button ... my favorite riding ... ever. Yes, they are pricey but these boots are an investment piece. Frye boots will last a lifetime. I have owned a pair in black for two years now and just recently got the cognac. I am excited every fall when I can get these boots out of my closet. I live in Texas, so weather permitting I can't wear these year round. I would highly recommend these boots. I normally wear a 10 in Frye shoes but these run a half size small so I wear a 9.5. You won't regret purchasing these boots. They are totally worth the money!
I''m in LOVE with these boots! I got these on the recommendation of a friend - I didn't even think they'd be the ones I'd keep. Then I took them out of the box. First I saw the color (I got the cognac, which is gorgeous) and then, I felt the leather. Let's face it, a lot of people don't have a ton of money to spend, or you save or make a good excuse to spend more on something. I'm a pretty decent Cole Haan addict, and even with the boots I have from there, I looked at these and thought, really, this much for boots? Let me just say, they're totally worth it. These are the boots that you'll wear in to that perfectly cool, worn in stage where they feel like a piece of you. The kicker is, they're that comfortable within the first hour of putting them on. The leather molds to your feet, they're the perfect calf width so you can wear skinny jeans inside but still wear ... cut on top. And even with my super long legs, the height is fantastic. Seriously, the first night out in these boots, a stranger on the street stopped me to ask what they were and where she could get them. Yes, they're that good. I hesitated at first telling people this, but seriously, I have been looking for this ... few years at this point so just bite the bullet, pay for them and start your lifelong love now. The only remaining question for me is if I can justify having them in more than one color...
Love them- worth the price! If you are reading this, it means you are seriously debating ordering these boots. I want to tell you, DO IT! You won't regret it. I ordered the Melissa button ... black hoping for a nice, timeless yet hip black ... winter. I wanted something that wasn't too matronly and buttoned up, that I could wear with skinny jeans, leggings, and short dresses. Maybe a bare leg if the weather was nice. :) I also ride horses and don't want to spend the money for riding boots so these will be great for that too- and there is nothing like a little horse poo to make your boots look even more lived in and loved! :) I have always loved the style of the Frye campus but it is a little too biker chic for my everyday need or wearing to work. So I ordered Melissa and I wasn't disappointed! These boots arrived and it was obvious they were a great quality product. Very thick, supple leather, heavy yet flexible and I just know they will wear wonderfully once they are broken in! And the smell! Oh, heavenly! I keep getting whiffs of it and I just smile. :) As for sizing, I am usually a 7 but as most reviewers suggested, I bought a 6.5 and immediately one went on easily. The other one was a little tighter and I had to use the plastic bag trick (I think one of my feet is larger than the other- it wasn't a flaw with the ... They were comfortable right off the bat and didn't rub or squeeze too much with a thin sock and jeans on. I should mention that I have an impossibly high instep and the first night I got them, I wore a thicker sock with my skinny jeans and I could feel the tightness in my instep, but today I wore tights and they were great all day. I am a petite 5'2', 115 with thin calves and the tops of the boots are nicely snug so if you have any concerns about your calf width, try the extended calf. Usually high boots like these are baggy on me but these fit well at the top, although by the ankle there is ample room. I love these and can't wait to wear them for years to come!!!!!!!
Frye does not disappoint! I had been looking at these boots for three years and finally purchased them. They are my second pair of Frye boots and I am not disappointed! As with all Frye boots, the Melissa Button ... well made and will last for a very long time. They feel comfortable and I have not had a problem getting them off and on. They are versatile and can be dressed up or down. I am very happy with this purchase!
3rd time is a charm. I’ve wanted a pair of Fryes for some time, so when Piperlime sent me a 20% off coupon I had to use it. I was so excited when my boots arrived. I wore them almost right away. After one day of wear the loop on the upper ... became frayed and the seam came out. Normally I wouldn't care, but I spent a good chunk of change on these beauties, so I was a tad disappointed. I called PL at 10pm on a Friday night and spoke with a very helpful associate. She told me there was no reason for this to be happening, and a new pair would be one the way. I sent back the first pair, and received the second within a few days. The second pair looked different from the first. They had a more pebbled look to them, but I liked it. When I put the boots on, the right foot fit perfectly, but I could not get my foot into the left. If this were the case with the first pair I would have caulked it up to the ... not being right for me, but I knew something wasn't right. Again, I called PL and just like the first time, a new pair was sent to me right away. The third pair arrived and I prayed they would fit like the first pair. They did! I'm so happy with my boots, and PL. Even with all of the exchanges/returns everything worked out with my account and I was credited each time a pair was sent back.
Just lovely, but Fryes run huge. (Long review because I think such a high price warrants knowing details of what you''re buying!) I wish I could give these a 4.5 - the appearance is nearly perfect, but all Frye boots have fit/sizing quirks that sort of get on my nerves. If they were cheaper, this would be excusable, but for the price, those quirks warrant a 4. If you're reading the reviews, you probably want to know about those negative or unexpected aspects before spending over $300, so I'll mention those first (but that doesn't mean that the positive doesn't outweigh the negative or that I would change much about these boots). I'm still keeping them, and it was still worth it [...]. NOT SO-GOOD: 1. The soles seem relatively durable (some Frye boots have thinner soles than I like), which is nice, but lots of Fryes have pretty smooth bottoms, so be careful with them on slippery surfaces when they're new - the traction will be questionable until you scuff up the soles yourself a bit. 2. Like with all Frye boots I've tried on, it was tough to get my foot to fit through the ankle of the ... but the pull tabs help a ton. (Getting them off is even harder, but it's worth it. I think that aspect of the fit prevents you from interrupting this really smooth leather silhouette with zippers or gores while making for a good, stable fit once they are on.) 3. Along the same lines, I have pretty average calves - not tiny, but I rarely have trouble with any boots not fitting over them - and I never need a wide shaft ... but these come close to being too tight (just barely enough space to cram jeans in with no room left over), so if your calves are bigger, you may not like these. 4. Most important to know: the sizing. I wear an 8 in almost every flat or heel, an 8-8.5 in most boots (sometimes need extra sock room) and 8.5-9 in running shoes. The 8 in Fryes leaves at least an inch between my big toe and the end of the shoe (even with moderately thick socks). I have a 7.5 in these and it's still quite roomy in the toe box - I could go smaller if I had narrow feet and skinny calves, but if I went down more with my foot shape the midfoot would be super tight. I'm sticking with the 7.5 and there will be nice room for socks and toe wiggling... and maybe insoles because arch support in Fryes isn't great (but then again my extreme over pronation makes me picky). (They might add some of this extra toe room intentionally - I think I'm used to less since modern shoes, especially nice women's shoes, tend to love the narrow toe box, which is what we're all used to, but in the end it's better for your feet if your toes can spread naturally and aren't crammed up against anything.) Now for the really GOOD aspects: 1. Like all the Frye boots I've seen, these have beautiful leather. It looks like you could never wear it out. I have the Fawn color, and I love it. I didn't want a high polish appearance; I wanted a soft looking (but not super distressed) brown, medium dark, and that's exactly what I got. It's not a very warm brown - there's an underlying dark greyish hue - but I like that because the color is really neutral while still being attractive on its own. Perfect and will match about anything. 2. The simple silhouette is really nice (if you, like me, are not a huge fan of cowboyish or overly rugged-and chunky silhouettes). 3. Short girls like me, take note: I'm not quite-5'4" and not leggy (~30 inch inseam), and there are many beautiful knee high Frye ... styles that I can't wear at all because the shaft comes all the way to the middle of my knee. However these hit just where they should! Yay! (Also good for short girls who want knee high Fryes - the Shirley Riding ... [not the over knee Shirley, but the knee high one with two buckles] which has a top that is made so that it can be cuffed down to a reasonable height. (If you're tall/leggy, know that the Melissa boots will probably not come all the way up to right below your knee.) [...]
Beautiful Boots, but not for me! I was excited to see these boots in "Extended calf" as I need the extra leg room. These are NOT extended calf. With that being said, however, these boots are GORGEOUS. I ordered them in the burgandy color and the color is rich and lucious. If you have a regular size calves, the extended size may be a good idea in order tuck your pants into the boots. Again, the boots are worth every penny, but they just are not as extended calf as I expected them to be.
This shoe comes in whole sizes only and runs a half size large. Consider ordering a half size smaller.

FINALLY i have been looking for the perfect pair of winter boots for quite some time. i originally had the sorel tofino but the pull strap on those broke after wearing a few times. i tried the sorel joan of arctic premium, which are beautiful boots BUT the sizing is so off on them! one size was way to big, the next size down was way too small. before giving up on sorel i tried the regular joan of arctic and these are them! my usual size (which i tried in the premium and tonifo) fits perfectly and these are quite stylish. i guess with sorel you really need to try each and every ... multiple sizes to find which works for you. most people say these run big however they are nowhere near as big as the joan of arctic premium. thanks to piperlime for the great customer service & free shipping!
OBSESSED with these boots I've been looking for a good pair of winter boots that also fall into the "cute" category & these definitely fit the bill! They're SO comfortable and I've gotten a ton of compliments on them...and I've only had them for a few days. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone & everyone. For reference, I usually wear a 7 or a 7 1/2 and I ordered the 7 and they're perfect with a good pair of socks. DEFINITELY buy these boots.
Best boots ever! I was hestitant to spend over $100 on cold weather boots, but these boots look so good I will be wearing them often. I am sure I will get many uses this year and years to come. They are very well constructed and extremely comfortable. These boots are waterproof right out of the box. They are stylish and functional. They are even nicer then I imagined! True to size and the laces make them nice and snug as oposed to my old pull ons. Piperlime is a pleasure to deal wih and these are the 3rd pair of shoes I have purchased from them.
Sweeet!!!! L O-V E these boots! Mine seem to fit true to-size, so no complaints there. They feel very sturdy & like they'll be the perfect warm boots for tromping around in the Michigan winter. Best of all, they're also awesomely cute and not nearly as 'masculine' as most functional winter boots. Can't wait to rock these boots in the snow!!
They Look Great but Run Big & Need to Be Broken In I normally wear 9.5-10 and ordered the 10s thinking that having boots run a little bigger might be good for wearing with thick socks. However, these run quite large. I ended up ordering the 9s after I recieved the 10s for comparison & am keeping the 9s. Even with my thick, wool socks the 9s are comfortable. Like other reviewers said, these are a little heavy but I just plan on wearing these when it snows or is messy afterwards. Also, the boots crease in the back, high on the heel & they have rubbed a little intially. I'm thinking that this will subside when they get 'broken in' but we shall see.
Cute, but uncomfortable! This is my first pair of Sorel's, I wear Ugg's and an old pair of Merrel snow boots that I have had for years. I must say that the Sorel's are beautiful! But, they are uncomfortable! They do feel like Ski boots. They are starting to break in, but it is a process! The sizing is about right, I am normally a 9 1/2, bought the 9 and believe that if they had half sizes, the 9 1/2 would have been perfect. Overall, I am very happy with the boots. They have kept my feet warm and dry here in cold Germany. I am hoping they will continue to get more comfortable!
Warm and so stylish I just got my new boots and I can't wait to wear them. I tried them on and can already tell that they will be very warm. I wasn't sure what size to order , I normally wear an 8 and I ordered an 8 and they will fit great with bulky socks. They are pretty heavy boots so if you are looking for something light these are not the boots for you. I ordered the grey and I think they will look great with anything.
Love these boots! I bought these boots for the snowy days in New England. They are very warm and comfortable and they keep my feet dry. I love the fur around the top....it adds some style to the ... They are easy to get on and tie in a hurry. The only down fall is that the boots are a little stiff on the ankle making it hard to flex your foot....driving in these boots is a little difficult. I'm hoping the boots soften up a little with wear.
It''s Complicated I fell in love with these boots when I saw them on this site. They were exactly what I was looking for: something warm, waterproof, fashionable, an alternative to those ugly UGGs. I originally wanted them in the tan color, but Piperlime wasn't carrying that color and I had a gift card, so I ordered the brown, and I ordered a 7 after reading that they run big (I'm a 7.5-8). They came and they were HUGE. But I loved them still. They were so big, I figured I had to be a 6. When I went to send them back, the site was carrying the tan color. So I ordered them in 6, tan. They came and they were way too tight! I tried to trade them in, again, for the tan in a 7, but by then, they were all sold out. I ended up ordering them from another site, and the size 7 [...] was actually perfect. I guess the sizing isn't uniform, which explains why other reviewers had such varied reactions. All in all, these boots look great and do a great job keeping me warm and dry (they have been snowstorm tested). They are a bit weird to walk in, however. There's definitely a "clomp clomp" effect to them. I wouldn't advise them for long walks, but otherwise, thumbs up!
Great Looking but Clunky It took me 3 weeks to get my boots because they were backordered. After waiting all that time they arrived today. They are great looking boots however they are very stiff and clunky to walk in. I hope they loosen up a bit as I break them in. Also I wear a 8.5 and got the 8 and they fit ok not too much extra room for thick socks so they fit pretty true to size in my opinion. These boots also dont seem like they will be warm when it snows like my Uggs are but guess I will see when it snows.
What''s all the hype? These boots are terrible. I don't understand how they've gotten such great reviews. They are stiff, uncomfortable, and bulky. I was really looking forward to wearing these boots during the cold Colorado winters but these boots are very difficult to walk around in. They have a ski boot-type feel where it's difficult to step from heel to toe. They have been returned.
My Favorite Fryes I bought these boots at the end of last winter, and they are one of my all time favorite pairs of boots. They work out of skinny jeans or under bootcut, and are extremely comfortable. I didn't find them stiff at all. The maple leather is gorgeous. I am a pretty true 8, but can go down to a 7.5 in Fryes. I did buy the 8 in these, but 7.5 probably would have worked fine too. HIghly recommend these boots.
Great mid calf boots I purchased these boots because I wanted something between 'high boots' and cowgirl boots, and they are perfect. I agree with another review that the ... fits loosely in the ankle/leg, but I don't think this is unusual for shorter/mid calf ... styles. I have thin ankles and calves, and I like the roominess for comfort and a more casual style. I purchased the dark brown, which has a slightly worn in feel out of the box - nice! Wear these with skinny jeans, ... cut jeans, and casual dresses and skirts. They are very versatile. This is my third pair of Fryes, and I find all Fryes wear beautifully, fit consistently, shape to your foot over time (if they feel a little tight at any one spot upon initially trying on, wear them for 30 min in your house on smooth surfaces, and they will loosen up quickly), and score high points for timeless style. I am a size 8.5-9 med width, and Frye boots in a 9 are perfect. The Heath ... fits more like a cowgirl ... slight amount of slip in the heel. Bottom line, if you want a versatile ... less aggressive than an engineer, harness, or cowgirl style and lower than a typical full calf style, this is your ... They are great, and worth the price!
Awesome boots! I love these boots! This is my 2nd pair of Fryes, and the quality of this pair lives up to the name. They are well made, and comfortable. I can tell they will get more comfortable with age, they do need to break in. The leather is soft and supple. I have very skinny calves and narrow feet/ankes...these boots are a bit big in the calf, but I like the looser/slouchier fit.
Worth the money! Frye boots are one of the best made boots ever. I have had many pairs of Frye boots and loved every pair. Compared to the Frye Campus ... style runs a little narrow in the toe box. The leather will give and break in with wear. I would recommend sizing up if your foot is wide.
Fabulous! Go for it! I was very anxious about purchasing these boots at this price. BUT, I am totally impressed. Frye boots are fabulous! The color is fantastic, the leather is soft and the style is great. I wore them ALL day yesterday and they felt great. I did order a half size smaller than normal and that proved to be very wise. Save your $$$ and buy these boots. You will be so pleased.
very nice These boots are soft leather so they worked really well for me because I have one foot that has a width problem. The soft leather stretched just right for the wide foot to be comfy. The description says tall ... but they are not really tall so make sure you know that these are only about 11 inches high. Surprised they were made in Mexico, but I am still glad I bought them cause they are cute and comfortable.
These are great boots. Wonderful quality. I can imagine these boots being part of your wardrobe for a long time. They just weren't what I was looking for. I didn't like the shorter height - not making it to the knee and found them too slouchy for my liking. My calves are about 14 inches and i ordered a 9 - my usual ... size. They were just right for boots. A little roomy and pretty comfortable. The only thing that bothered me was the seaming on the inside around my ankle. It was a little rough. I have very narrow heals so the up and down movement was bothersome. This could probably be fixed with an insole. My zipper went up and down smoothly and was good looking.
Beautiful Boots These boots are pretty dang cool. I wore them all day over my skinny jeans. There's padding at the front footbed that keeps them pretty comfortable. Frye boots run a half size large for me. Overall, very beautiful, classic ... wear for a long time.

Too short The boots are extremely well made and the leather is beautiful. I ordered these boots hoping for a pair that would look cute with skirts and skinny jeans. They were way too short in the shaft. I ended up ordering the campus boots instead.
Not That Great I was excited to get these boots, thinking that the quality of a Frye ... would be outstanding, but was very disappointed in them upon receipt. The shaft is unlined and way too wide. I'm not sure that the zipper is needed at all and don't see how I could incorporate this into my wardrobe except to tuck my jeans into the boots. That's too limiting for my liking and I feel that they're too expensive for this role alone. I am returning these.

LOVE THEM!!!! Just received my ... ordered Graphite in Womens size 7. I wear 7.5 so I was glad I ordered the 7. The fit is just perfect and I can still wear heavy socks. I just tried them with both regular and heavy socks and the fit is great. Love the color! Very modern. They will go with everything. They arrived just it time. We are expecting light snow Monday and I did not want to wear my leather ... obvious reasons. I also own a pair of the Earth ... brown that I ordered from Piperlime as well. (Read my reveiw on those) They are awesome and weather/water proof too but I've worn those several times and its always fun to have an alternative pair and color. Thank you Piperlime, you are the best!
great ... I usually wear a size 6, but for these Hunter a women's size 5 (UK 3) fir perfectly. They were a pricey purchase but overall they live up to their reputation. They were a little tight in the calves so I can confirm that they wouldn't be good for those with wider calves.
Not for women with decent calf muscles! I love these ... although I had to order a size up so my pants could fit in the ... Unfortunately, the foot part is too large now, the smaller size fit perfectly in the foot. Otherwise, they are super comfortable, wipe clean very easily, and I love the color!

So cute! So practical! Love them : ) Just received my wellies and I couldn't be happier! I had a hard time finding them, but finally got lucky on Piperlime! I bought the red. The red is a really nice color - just bright enough without being overpowering. I would describe them as an "old flag" type red. A bit muted. I typically wear a women's size 7 1/2 and after reading other reviews, ordered a size down (women's 7 US size) and I am glad I did. They fit great, even with the wellie socks (which I had to order elsewhere since Piperlime didn't have my size/color). When they arrived they were coated in a white film, but I didn't fret thanks to having read other reviews that this could happen. I took a warm cloth and wiped them down - this helped, but there is still a film there. I don't think this is a big deal. Still look adorable. These are perfect for our Buffalo winters. Other ... end up salt stained and looking yucky by the end of winter, but I have a feeling these will hold up well since I can just wipe them down. I can also look forward to splashing around with my 2 little ones this spring! Thanks, Piperlime!
Once again the UK has a superior product I just received the ... love them. They will do just what they are designed to do, and of course in silver they'll look more fashionable than usual while doing it. I ordered the US size 7/8 EU 39, and in the US I generally wear a 9 in most shoes (very occasionally an 8.5 and my foot is 10", while standing, from toe to back of heel/ankle where the heel rounds out over the sole of the heel itself). With the smaller size (smaller by 1 whole size), I still have almost a full thumb's width of room between my big toe and the end of the toe box; plenty of room for a pair or 2 of wool socks. The ... shaft comes to around 2-3" below my knee (and I am 5'8"), so very petite women may not find these ... comfortable. Also, if you have very large leg calves or are a larger woman (e.g. if you are a plus size), these ... may shove some of the flesh up above the rim of the ... even though they may fit OK, getting the ... off after your skin has been breathing will take some work. These ... measure approximately 15.5" at the outer circumference at the top of the ... rubber is 1/8" thick (not including the decorative braid that runs the outside of the ... top), but since they are made of a latex/rubber compound, there is some stretch. If you buy them and find you might be happier with the larger size, return them and see if the ... shaft is also a little larger. I could only measure the size I actually bought, so these are the only measurements I have.
not for you if you are petite :( I bought a pair of these recently in a size 8 womens, which is what size i normally am and they fit just fine there. the problem is the height of the ... I'm only 5'2 and the shaft of the ... so tall that it hits right in the middle of my knees making it uncomfortable while walking and trying to sit. I really wanted a tall ... fall and i'm heartbroken that these aren't working out well. if your taller i'm sure you will absolutely love these ...

Overrated When it comes to what I need out of a rainboot, I suspect I'm similar to a lot of women: I am in good shape and not overweight, but I have athletic calves. I'm a size 8 in clothes, 5'9" tall. I prefer a tall ... aesthetic and practical reasons. I prefer to buy higher quality items and labels that will both last and continue to be fashionable for more than one year. That being said, Hunter does not offer a ... someone like me. First I tried the classic tall, and the calf was too tight. I tried the Huntress, and the shaft was too short, the quality was low, and the ankle was wacky. So I tried these, hoping they'd be cute. They're not. They looked clunky and were a pain to get on and off. I know Hunter is the fashionable girl's go to rainboot brand but I guess that's only for size zeros and twos. I just ordered tall galoshes that zip up the back from a retailer whose name starts with J and is a favorite of First Lady Obama, and I think those might be the perfect pair I've been looking for. Hunter failed me here, and you can't say I didn't try!
Fashionable and comfortable I love the desert ... look with dresses and shorts. I looked for the right ... long time. I wanted a woman's ... not a sized down man's ... am thrilled with these. The color is perfect and the suede is very soft. They were comfortable right out of the box. Because they are made for women, they are cut slimmer and are not bulky. I have worn these a bunch already. And the best part....the price.....very reasonable. I will never be able to wear these out....the quality is what you expect from Clarks. I plan to wear these even in the heat of the summer with light summer dresses and shorts and feminine tops.
See Below Very odd. I seem to have had the same problem as the reviewer below. When I received the ... (great price, BTW), they were laughably tiny and oddly narrow. I actually own several pairs of these so I'm aware of how the sizing can be a bit tricky, but these looked more like either a women's size or even children's. Yet they were stamped on the inside with "Mens." I'm wondering Piperlime got a defective batch or something? Either way, I returned them within the hour and am sure the refund will be happening soon. I also spoke to someone in customer service and suggested they verify some of their inventory just in case they run into this again. Great price, speedy service, too bad it didn't work out.
