Comfortable The style and color are terrific. Just after purchasing these shoes I wore them all day while touring the city of Paris. I ended up with one small blister on the bottom of my foot, but considering I walked up the endless staircase to get to the top of the Arc de Triomphe, I was impressed. I have gotten a lot of compliments and would recommend these shoes.
Love at first wear! I was a bit skeptical after reading a couple reviews about the toe piece being uncomfortable, but I had some Gap rewards so I decided to give the Gizeh a try. I'm so glad I did. I absolutely love these ... They took almost no time to break in and only rub as much as any other thong style ... first time you wear them. I will definitely buy another pair of birkenstocks!

Lovely Summer Sandal =) The Gizeh is the first ... have ever purchased, but they're so great that I want to buy them in bulk just incase they retire this edition. I love sandals, but my narrow feet and collapsing arches make flip flops uncomfortable during extended walks. I walk everywhere, so these Birkenstocks provide arch support, comfort and are irresistibly stylish. I get stares and compliments - directed at my feet no less. I really think these sandals are worth the price, and my only complaint is the lack of half sizes; I went down to a 9 and my toes feel a little squished by the elevated rim.
The shoes fit just fine, but the color was not what I expected. When they say "golden brown", they mean it! They are brown with an overcast metallic gold sheen to them. I am sending them back. Love the shoes, hate the color.

I guess the other reviewer isn't aware that you have to break in Birkenstocks! Once you wear them around, your foot will start to mold to them and they will be your favorite pair of shoes ever! I Love this color!

Classy Birkenstock The gold color is really a perfect neutral with just a touch of dressiness. It's not overly glitzy, but helps avoid the sometimes "granola" ... look (LOL). Birks do take some breaking in, but I love that they are adjustable for my narrower foot.
Perfect "nude" metallic shade i have several pairs of the gizeh style, my go to comfort ... warm weather, but now this color is my favorite. Low luster, pretty apricot gold metallic takes on a more nude coloration on a tanned foot, extends the leg. Of course, this goes along with the usual Birkenstock comfort. On an upcoming Xmas resort holiday, this will be one of the few shoes I really need to pack. As I will almost certainly wear these to death, a second pair may be needed.

Comfort is key with me.. Great quality...extremely comfortable...very fashionable. I have received several compliments on these shoes already and have just started wearing them! I love Birkenstocks regardless, but these are easily becoming my favorite pair!
Perfect! This is my second pair of Gizeh, and I love these just as much as my first pair. Super comfy and great for walking and standing all day. Love the silver, very versatile. Between my old pair and these, I won't wear any other shoes this summer.
Love them! Super comfy and totally cute, especially for a ... found them comfortable right out of the box and wore them around all day with no blisters or discomfort. The silver is a fun neutral for summer. I usually wear a 39N in Birkenstocks, but the recommended 38 fit fine.
So cute, so comfortable. I LOVE these shoes! They are the best walking shoes for the summer, and they really look great. I figure if Julianne Moore likes them, then they are stylish enough for me!

Just break them in. I have narrow feet, and am a pretty big fan of my ... clogs. I love my Milano sandals, but they don't quite suit my fashion sensibility. Maybe I've just outgrown them. I ordered the Madrids with hesitation. Summer presents a footwear predicament for me, because going casual in sandals means lots of searching. I just hate the way gladiators look, and even "classier" thongs still look too much like my ultra casual Reef flip flops. These are really super. They definitely have a breaking in period, which my other Birkenstocks have not. I had blisters on one foot and was highly concerned. However, I stuck it out, and now they are completely comfortable. Having an adjustable strap is really super.
